Monokuma climbed up on the big, wooden closet, standing in the middle of the big, open room. He stood up, looking at the curious students, standing on the floor, lookig at the black and white bear.

"What's this even about?" Naegi shouted. "What are you trying to do?"

Monokuma grinned. "I'll tell you. You'll simply be locked inside this brown closet, here", he said and tapped on the brown closet with his white hand. "And you'll be picked two and two. Everybody who isn't picked to go in to this closet, here, has to walk around in this room, waiting for their own turns. There's also a Monomono machine over there, so if you need food or drinks, you'll simply go and buy it. Good luck". Monokuma laughed happily. "It's genious, isn't it?"

A girl with short, brown hair, let out a small sound. "W-why are you d-doing this to us?" she asked. Her voice was so low, that Monokuma stopped laughing.

"What a stupid question, don't cha think?" he shouted. "It's simply because you'll get to know each other better", he grinned. "Isn't that nice?" he said, as he glanced at the quiet audience. His red eye suddently started to glow more red. "And I'll make sure nobody escapes".

He jumped down from the closet, and waddled over to a brown haired boy, standing in the middle of the room. "Since you, Naegi, was so clever to ask, I'll make you go in to the closet first".

Naegi shouted: "What? Why me?"

"Didn't I say so?" Monokuma grinned. "I bet you're good enough. You should be happy, you see". He turned away from the boy's frightened face. "Now who should be the lucky student to be next to this handsome boy?"

"You seriously can't do this", Naegi shouted desperately. "This isn't how friendship works".

Monokuma grinned and ignored the brown haired boy. "Who wants to go inside with Naegi?" he mumbled for himself. With short steps, he jumped his way between the frightened students, everybody looking at the short, little black and white bear.

"How about you", Monokuma laughed. He pointed at a tall, purple haired girl. Her face was pale, and her eyes were bright purple. It seemed as she hadn't listened to Monokuma, but rather been standing and looking at the walls.

"Kirigiri", the girl answered. Her voice was dry. Monokuma suddently started laughing.

"Here we have the two volunteers", he shouted. His red eye was shining more red than ever, making his face look creepier and scarier. He looked at Naegi and Kirigiri.

"We didn't even volunteer", Naegi shouted. Monokuma didn't answer. He dragged the purple haired girl next to Naegi, making Naegi blush. He looked up at the taller girl, but she didn't look back at him. Monokuma pushed his way through the student, making the two "volunteers" walk towards the closet.

"I hope you don't mind", Kirigiri said. She still didn't look down at Naegi, as she followed Monokuma in to the closet.

"Huh?" Naegi said, as he slowly walked in to the closet after her.

Monokuma laughed happily. His face was dark red, more red than ever. He suddently walked out of the closet, making the two students stand alone. He said: "Good luck, lovebirds. Time to feel hope. Or should I say despair?" He suddently closed the door.

It was awkwardly quiet for a while. Naegi didn't say anything. He couldn't see anything in the complete darkness.

"Monokuma? Do you have any lights?" he shouted. No answer. "It seems like nobody can hear us, after all". Naegi sighed.

Kirigiri suddently pushed a button, making a small lamp, as on a candle, spread its light through the closet. "What are we going to do?" she asked with her dry voice. The lamp was hanging over their two heads, but none of them were tall enough to touch it with their fingers.
