Lucy Hale as Madeline JacobsMadeline POV:
Waking up to go to school is one of the hardest things in life. Now imagine waking up and going to a new school in the middle of your senior year.
My morning started with the sound of my alarm clock and my maid Rebecca opening the blinds.
"Time to wake up," Rebecca sang.
"Okay, I'm up. No need to serenade me."
"My apologies Miss Jacobs. I will be downstairs with breakfast ready," Rebecca hurried downstairs to prepare a breakfast that I won't eat. An hour later I flew down the stairs wearing a light gray crop top with stars, and a black high waisted skirt.
"How do I look," I asked as I twirled around in a circle.
"You look beautiful," Rebecca complimented. After a seconds pause she added, "maybe a little chapstick, you're looking quite dry ."
"Thank you," I shouted as I rushed out of the house. I grabbed the keys to my black Maserati Alfieri, and headed off to school."Your home room will be number 115, and here's your schedule," the office attendant smiled as she handed me my schedule. "If you get lost there is a map printed on the back." I threw a quick thank you over my shoulder and headed into the hallway. I flipped my schedule over and was looking at the map of the classes when I ran head first into a hard surface. At first I thought I was an idiot and ran into a wall, but when I looked up from the ground I realized it was a person.
"I'm so sorry I didn't see you there," a masculine voice said holding out a hand to help me up.
"No it's my fault I wasn't looking where I was going," I replied dusting off my skirt. When I got the dirt off I looked up and finally saw who I ran into. A concerned look was plastered on his face, but it made him look somehow more attractive. His light brown hair was tousled in the front, and his dark brown eyes were focused on mine.
"I really am sorry-?" he paused waiting for my name.
"Oh I'm Madeline, nice to meet you."
"I'm Alex," he said holding out his hand. I took it and shook it lightly.
"You must be new here."
"You must be psychic," I joked. The smile that appeared on his face only added to his attractiveness. His once well defined cheekbones were softened by the small dimples that appeared on either side of his face.
"Not psychic just attentive," Alex replied. "I can show you to your first class if you need help."
"Actually that would be great," I said offering him an appreciative smile.
"Right this way," Alex said as he started walking again.I followed Alex to a room with desks paired together in rows. A large desk say at the front of the room along with a giant whiteboard.
"Here you go room 115. You're a few minutes early so you have time to mingle with other kids, and figure out where your going to sit," Alex said leaning against the door. "And if you need anything my locker number is 123."
"Thank you so much, and sorry for running into you."
"Don't worry about it," he said with a slight smile. "I'll see you around." As he walked away I took a second to admire his build. He wasn't bulky like some guys who tried to hard, but he was well muscled. And it was almost impossible to not notice how nicely his butt filled his jeans. When I finally stopped ogling over Alex I stepped inside my home room. Unlike in the movies where the room falls silent when the new girl walks in, nobody even gave me a second glance. My eyes scanned the room for the teacher, and found him standing by his desk. The second I entered his field of vision he smiled.
"You must be Madeline Jacobs. I'm Mr. YinLe, and I will be your homeroom teacher as well as your reading teacher." Mr. YinLe didn't give me time to answer him before he started talking again. "Your desk partner will be Skye Jones, she will be able to help you with any assignments given in here." With that Mr. YinLe turned back to the papers on his desk. I looked around the room searching for a place to sit, when I noticed a girl reading a book at a half empty desk. I walked over to her and sat down. She looked up from her book and smiled.
"What book are you reading," I asked.
"City of Bones," she said with a smile.
"Oh my gosh I love that book."
"I know right. It's my fifth time reading it."
"I hear you. And Jace," we both sighed with dreamy looks on our faces.
"I'm Skye by the way," she said shutting her book.
"I'm Madeline your desk partner," I said with a smile.
"Thank God for that. Last year I was stuck with the most annoying kid ever, so it's nice to have someone good for my senior year."
"Well I'm relieved I have someone with a great taste of literature," I said pointing to her book.
"Dido," Skye laughed. Before she could say something else Mr. YinLe stood up and started talking about a new project that he was assigning.
"You should join me and my friends at lunch," Skye whispered during our teachers instructions.
"Yeah that would be great," I whispered back.
I sat through another three hours of boring classes before the lunch bell rang. I was so excited that my day was almost over that I ran right into someone.
"I'm so sorry," I said while picking myself of the ground for the second time today. The person I ran into didn't even stop to say sorry or acknowledge my apology. He just walked right past me. I said a string of cuss words under my breath, and continued walking to lunch.
