*Trinity's PoV*

It had been two days since Louis had effectively ended our relationship. I had pondered what to do, going over things again and again in my mind, but nothing seemed like a viable option. I needed some place to stay, and the only way I would find one was if I started looking. To be honest, it had actually crossed my mind that I could pretend that I couldn't find anywhere to stay, just so I could live there with Louis for a little longer, in the hope of convincing him to rekindle our consolidation. However, I never was much of an actress, so Louis would easily see thorugh my lie, as he saw through the last.

It was so awkward in the house, silence the only thing filling the air. Whenever we would pass eachother, eyes darrted to the ground and hands fidgeted. Whenever our hands would accidently touch when reaching for something, or passing a dish between one another as we washed and dried it wordlessly, our hands would jerk away as if we had been electrocuted. It was as if my touch repulsed him now. For all I knew, it actually might have.

I didn't realise how difficult it would be to live with someone who is constantly giving you the cold-shoulder. Not only was it awkward, but it physically hurt to see someone I loved so much desperately attempting to space themselves from me. It was unbearable trying to live like this. I needed a place to go, and soon, at that.

I flicked through the newspaper as I lay idly on the bed in the guest room, which I had been staying in, looking for the section where they advertised house and apartment rentals. I found it and lay staring at it momentarily, the truth finally sinking in that I was moving away from Louis. I shook my head, closing my eyes and seeking to clear such thoughts from my head so I could focus on the task at hand.

My fingers grazed over the paper lightly as my eyes skimmed over the countless advertisements. Everything was either run-down and unpleasant, or too far out of town, which would make it hard to get to work in the mornings. I sighed, burying my head in my hands in frustration, before leafing through the ads once more, just incase I happened to miss anything the first time 'round.

My eyes lit up as I spotted the perfect property. A two bedroom modern apartment, just around the corner from my workplace. It was on the first floor and had a communal garden out the back that had a set of tables and chairs out the back. There was a barbeque out there every weekend, weather permitting, for all residents to congegrate at, or so the advertisement said. It sounded great. I smiled, really smiled, for the first time in those two days, clapping my hands together excitedly.

Until I saw the price of rent.

Okay, I know I had a job and all, but, even so, there was absolutely no way I could afford to spend that much on rent. Unless I wanted to live without food, and I really, really didn't. I scrunched the newspaper up into a ball and threw it into the bin as I began to get dressed for work.

It was lucky that I had a job; it gave me a few hours away from the tense atmosphere of the house. I looked myself in the mirror one last time, flattening down my collar before opening the door of my room and sneaking downstairs quietly, hoping to avoid any inconvenient run-in between Louis and I.

As I reached the bottom of the stairs, I took Louis' keys off the hall table (I still had no other way to get to work, I'd have to return to my old house and pick up my car if I moved out) and glanced covertly into the kitchen, where I spied Louis eating a bowl of cereal and staring blankly into space as the construction men walked around, taking measurements of the spaces that needed to be rebuilt following the fire.

I opened the door quietly, as not to alert Louis to my leaving, and shut it behind me. The lights of the Audi flickered as I used the fob to open it, the doors unlocking with a quiet 'click'. I had gotten used to driving Louis' car, and had no idea how I was supposed to go back to my plain-old, boring Fiesta, although I was pretty sure that was the least of my problems.
