Prologue
December 8th, 1920

I watched as he slapped, kicked and burned her. I couldn't stop him. A weak 14 year old like me was defenseless.
I sat in the closet sobbing. She hid me. She always kept me away from him. But I was the one he wanted. I searched around for something, anything to knock him out. I squinted my eyes. Maybe my mothers heels? No, not pointy or hard enough.
I found it, My lacross trophy I won last year. Standing, I dusted my pants off and let the door slowly creak open. They turned to me. My mums eyes widened and her lip quivered. 'no' she mouthed. But I wouldnt have it.
I let all my anger course through my body as he stalked towards me. He dropped mum on his way over and I clenched my fists. Yes, I was nervous but I was ready to smash his head in.
I raised the trophy and slammed it into the top of his skull. He started bleeding. I kept bashing, bashing and bashing until I thought he was knocked out. But no, he wasn't knocked out.
I had killed him. As in cold blooded murder. With a trophy I earned in a meere kiddy sport. I dropped the trophy and walked towards my mother. I reached to touch her. She flinched. What?
"Mum.." I started but she put a hand up.
"No, don't touch me. You are crazy. a fucking psycho." My heart stopped.
"I just saved you mum. " she shook her head.
"You just murdered your father." I was pissed now.
"ARE YOU SERIOUS!? I JUST SAVED YOUR LIFE AND NOW IM A PSYCHO. OKAY THEN. WATCH YOUR BACK MUM. BECAUSE YOU MIGHT BE NEXT." I was fuming. I heard police sirens turn down our street. She called the police on me.
"I called them alright. Told em' my son had gone psycho. I know for sure that you are." my eyes widened. The door burst open and I was taken by huge arms. I kicked and screamed.
Another big man sedated me and I was thrown into the back of a soft truck.
I feel into the darkness, struggling to keep my sanity alive. The insanity inside took over.
I was no longer sweet 14 year old harry. I was Harry Styles. And I was as criminally Insane as a cannibal.
