Tomorrow was Christine's last day and she couldn't wait to explore the new town her mother was sending her to. Her mom told her all about this place, and how this was an amazing opportunity for the both of them. As Christine was all packed and ready to go, she couldn't forget that all the ruckus downstairs that were a room full of guest ready to be wishing her the best as she leaves within a couple of hours. As Christine fixes her bleach blonde hair she can't help but to take one last picture in her room, that she couldn't wait to come back to again. Her mother called it a "vacation" or a "trip to paradise" as her dad would say. Although her dad knew nothing much of the place, but her mother never missed the opportunity to mention it.

"Christine come on down, they're all waiting for you baby!" Her mother shouts outside the door.

"I'll be there in a second mom!" Fixing her pink sweater Christine walks out the room and runs downstairs, to be greeted by hundreds of friends and family kissing and saying their goodbyes.

Few hours into the party Christine is drained and is ready for her big day but can't help but to notice Max her ex, making way to her slowly but noticeable.

"So this is it huh," he looks down and slowly looks back up, "you're really leaving Manchester huh?"

"Yeah, this is it Max," she smiles and takes his hand into hers, "I know this is hard for you, for us, but I have to do this Max."

Trying to keep his posture he responds, "I'm just going to miss you so much you know. I don't get why you would break up with me Christine. I love you... Don't you love me?" He searches for his answer, worry written across his face.

Christine let's out a silent chuckle and puts her hands on each side his face, "Of course I love you Max, who could throw away 3 years of happiness?"

Relief certainly was obvious to the boy in front of her and he finally decides to speak up and say whatever has been bothering him, "I just really don't want you to go, I'm gonna miss you so much and it'll be weird without you Christine. Please stay, I'll pay your parents back the ticket money just please, don't go." He says with pleading eyes.

Smiling at the thought that her being gone for quite a long time and here Max was trying to stop her hours before her flight. Something about that was amusing to her. She plants a kiss on his cheek and places her head on his chest. "While I'm gone I know you'll have temptations, me being gone for a year or so will only make it hard for you and I don't want to make things hard for you which is the only reason why I would ever want to end things you know. Think of it more like a pause."

"But you're making it hard for me right now." His voice cracks as he holds back his tears.

"You knew this day was coming Max, my mom has been planning this since I was practically born you know that, we've talked about this since we started and you said you'd be fine with it as long as I come back to you."

"Now that we're here in this moment I'm not fine with it all." He retorted.

Surprised at his sudden mood change she looks up at him and says, "If you truly do love me like you swear you do, you will be happy with whoever comes along and when I return still want to be with me," she turns to walk away and says "Am I right?" Continuing to walk to the crowd up to her room.

"Yeah, you're right." Was the last thing he said but she had already become one with the crowd.

And that was the last of the curly brown haired boy that had stood in front of her and she knew it would be a while till she could truly love again.
