Caterina's hair on the side

Caterina POV
I sat in my huge bedroom brushing my hair. I was so bored. I kept on brushing and brushing until my hair felt like silk. It was really light blonde with honey and golden natural highlights. When I was a teenager and had a rebellious few months I added blue highlights to my hair. My hair fell in waves and messy curls to my bust. It was what my stylist called medium thickness.
I stared into the mirror. My reflection stared back. I studied it carefully.
My eyes were a crystal clear blue. My lashes were long and dark compared to my hair. I had darker lips than most that were very defined on the top and it held a huge contrast to my naturally paler skin. I did tan though, thank God. Could you believe having an Italian princess that didn't tan! That would be disastrous.
I lowered my eyes to my chest. Sometimes I hated my bra size, sometimes I loved it.
It was a decent size and was slightly on the larger side of things. Sometimes dresses had to be specially altered to accommodate my chest. However it was good because boys usually fawned over me for it.
The rest of my body was quite skinny. It seemed no matter how much I ate as long as I did a little bit of excersise I would always stay in good shape.
I sighed. I really was the typical princess that was particularly fond of how she looked. As much as I tried to deny it the population of Italy were right. I was a spoiled brat.
Take a look at my room. My bed was king sized and had plush pillows and the softest fabric was on my sheets and duvet. I had my own balcony and and en suite bathroom with a bath an shower. I also had a dressing room just off the bathroom and I had especially requested last year that my walls where re-painted to the colour white instead of cream, my case was that more things went with white, and of course my father and mother, King and Queen of Italy being to busy to really acknowledge me just let me do whatever I wanted.
So when I requested to throw a huge party inviting all eligible bachelors so I could fall in love with a Prince and get married my parents didn't refuse.
Tonight was the party, infact it was only a few hours away which meant that I should be getting ready instead of just sitting here admiring my reflection. However, I could not bring myself to be bothered with such a party so I just sat there.
I started wondering whether I could go to the party looking like this rather than having to make an effort. I glanced at my outfit. A simple dress. Cream with flowers lining the neck line that criss-crossed over my chest leaving quite a lot of cleavage exposed, not a lot was left to the imagination there.
My makeup had been done lightly from this morning, wearing only eyeliner, mascara and a burgundy coloured lipstick.
My shoes were quite appropriate for the occasion being strappy high heels from Jimmy Choo.
I heard a loud banging on the door and without giving my permission to let the person in I heard the door open. I was about to reprimand the intruder when I saw the face of my best friend. The countess.
My face lit up.
She looked so beautiful, obviously already dressed for the party. Her brown hair had been curled and now hung around her shoulders in messy ringlets. The ends of her hair had been dyed blonde, she had got it done woth me when I got my blue highlights.
She was wearing a stunning red cocktail dress that ended mid thigh and had a small slit at the back. Instead of normal straps this dress had an intricate design of black swirls going up into a one shoulder strap. She accompanied the dress with our matching Gucci heels. She had done a smokey eye makeup and bright red lipstain. She. Looked. Gorgeous.
In her hands she had numerous bags all from big designer brands.
I walked towards her and gave her a huge embrace.
"Annalisse! You're here! You look absolutely amazing! I need your help to get dressed!" I don't think I have ever said anything so fast in my entire life!
She nodded.
"Of course, hun. What do you think all these shopping bags are for?" she smiled.
After about one and a half hours I was finally ready.
Annalisse had straightened my hair and redone my makeup so I had dark eyes and burgundy lipstick. I was wearing a black strapless cocktail dress from Gucci and I put on my matching pair of our shoes. I had to give it to Annalisse. I sure looked amazing.
All I had to do now was fall in love.
That would be pretty easy at a party like this, right?
