Have you ever felt like if you think of something for to long you imagine it better (or worse), then when it happens it's nothing like you thought?

That's what the last day of school is for me. Ever since September 6th first period, so basically the first day of school, I've been thinking about the last day of school.

But now that it's here it just seems kinda bleh. The only thing keeping me from jumping out of the chair in the last five minutes of class is my best friend, Eric Townsend. He keeps talking to me. "Ary."

                                          (Pronounced: air-e)

"Get your head out of the clouds. I just asked you a question." I snap my attention to him. "Five more minutes until I can go home and eat the left-over homemade  pizza." He laughs.

"Unless Erin and Drake ate it all." Erin and Drake are our friends that get out a week before us. Stupid private school. "They should know better. I swear to God Eric if they ate my pizza i'm going to kick their butts into next week."

He laughs again. "I know, that's why i hide it in the fridge at our house."

Ever since I turned 16, we've been living together. I throw my arms around him,  and say "thankyouthankyouthankyou!"  He laughs. "You're welcome."

Leaning back in my seat, I then realize another problem. "We have to pick up Abby, Ninja, and Violet. I left them at your mom's." He groans. "Why couldn't they stay with Erin and Drake? Now when we pick up the dogs we have to answer all of my mom's questions. Like  'Are you two dating yet' and 'Why can't she go out with Damian instead?'"

"Ill go in by myself if you want." I laugh

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because then when I visit she's gonna know that I was in the car.  She's gonna give me heck to pay." I laugh at him again. "Well maybe i want to see your mother without you in the way." To him, his mom is satan.

"Like she'll believe that for a second. I just might as well go in. It'll make you hurry up." He smirks, knowing my upcoming answer. "Oh believe me, just because I love you and my mutts doesn't mean I love your mom."

The bell rings interrupting him from saying anything else. I jump up and run to the door dragging my newly bought red bag. Once I go outside I yell "SCHOOL'S OUT! NO MORE IDIOTS!" Eric laughs behind me. I jump into mine and Eric's brand new red truck. If you couldn't tell my favorite color is red.

Which is what I turn when I see a teacher right next to the door. "Let's go pick up some shakes then the dogs." I suggest as Eric gets in the driver seat.

"Or we could ask my mother if she could make us some." He replies. "I hate it when your right." But that doesn't satisfy him. "And that way we can get to the pizza faster."

"I told you you're right. No need to rub it in my face too." he goes to open his mouth, but I stop him. "Just shut up and drive."
