The next few days were not very pleasant. Some students were running around trying to ask people to the dance at the last minute. Others were worrying about what to wear. And worst of all, since we would be going into Christmas Holidays the professors were pushing us harder then ever.We had been given a whole bunch of homework for the holidays but I decided to leave it for a while and just enjoy the holiday spirits.

There was to be a trip to Hogsmeade on Christmas Eve, Me and Willow had planned to go together and visit the shops in which she needed to stop off in to buy more supplies like quills and parchment.

It was a cold and snowy day when we woke up for the trip to Hogsmeade. I got up pulled on my uniform, cloak and scarf and went to wait for Willow below.

I was only waiting a few minutes before Willow had emerged from her dormitory wearing a cloak and a scarf too. She also had a pair of stripy gloves on her hands.

"Nice gloves", I said.

"Thanks, early Christmas present from mum", she replied.

We walked down to the Great Hall to find the floor covered in fake snow. Up at the staff table two large Christmas trees stood on either side covered in beautiful baubles and tinsel. We took our seats next to some other fellow Hufflepuffs and ate some breakfast. After that we ran upstairs to fetch our permission slips , in which Mr Filch , the caretaker, would check to make sure that no too signatures were the same unless the slips belonged to siblings. We joined the long line of students waiting enter Hogsmeade.

As we were waiting I saw Ron and Hermione walking down to join everyone else followed by Harry Potter.

This was to be Harry's first trip to Hogsmeade ever because he only got his permission slip signed by his godfather at the end of last year.
As the line finally started to move we sooner or later found ourselves at the entrance to Hogsmeade. We walked around for a while and looked into all the shops.

We entered a shop in which Willow bought a wine quill and a bag that contained ten rolls of parchment. I looked at her curiously because she had around eleven rolls of parchment already at the bottom of her trunk.

"You can never have enough parchment, you never know, Snape might set us a very long essay", she said as we walked out of the shop.

"No matter how mean Snape might be he will never set us a twenty one roll essay", I joked.

"You never know", she answered. She smiled and we walked into Zonko's joke shop. Of course Fred and George Weasley were in Zonko's buying loads of jokes to test on random students.
We had a look around for a while but left quite quickly. We entered Honeydukes a few minutes later. It was quite packed. Loads of students were buying jars or sweets for their relatives and friends.

"I'll be over here", Willow informed me. I walked over to the shelf where the chocolate frogs were. I picked one up and went to pay for it. As I was walking over to look at the Bertie Bots Every Flavour Beans I heard the door open and close. I looked at the door and saw Cho Chang enter with some of her Ravenclaw friends, including Luna Lovegood. I turned my back hoping that she wouldn't notice me.

After a while I heard the door open then close again and realised that she had left. I turned and looked at the sweets on the shelf, wondering should I buy some for my mom and dad. I decided not to.

I went and found Willow standing at the chocolate frogs trying to decide which one to pick.

"Which one should I pick", she asked me as I approached her".
