Today's the big day. Today's the day Mekhi and I move from our parents' houses into our very own. How exciting! I'm moving in with the love of my life today.

I smile as the thoughts circle in my head. I couldn't imagine starting off college anyway besides this. We were finally going to start our lives together. Just me and him. As I roll out of bed I hear my phone.
Beep.
It's Mekhi.
Today's the big day, Sweetheart. Make sure you get a good breakfast and some caffeine in you. I want to get everything unpacked today. See you in about an hour. Love you sugarplum. Oh, and good morning babygirl.
A smile creeps upon my face as I read the words my love has sent me.
Will do baby. I'm way ahead of you. See you soon. Love you and good morning.

I head downstairs to an empty house. It seems both my parents have left for work. My dad is a surgeon at this big shot hospital called Vista and my mom is a RN at the same place. Goals right? They're barely around anymore, considering their jobs I guess I understand. But I still miss family breakfast we used to have when I was little. I barely knew who my parents were anymore. That bothers me.

Thinking of the text Mekhi sent me not too long ago gets me moving.

What to do first girly? Shower? Eat? Pack last minute things? Tidy my room? so much to do, so little time.

I decide I would go ahead and shower first, eat second, tidy third, and lastly... Pack. Mekhi has this thing where he seems to think I pack unnecessary items so that's why I'm waiting to pack last minute.

Exactly 45 minutes pass when I hear a car pulling up in the driveway of my parents yard. Mekhi steps out and the first thing I notice is his killer looks.

Mekhi has soft gray eyes, dirty blonde hair, a very defined jaw line, and a chizled model body. And he style was perfect.

God , I'm lucky.

I open the door before he could even knock.

"Well someone is excited uh?" Mekhi says with a warm smile

"Of course silly, I saw this devishly handsome guy approaching my door" I say flirtatiously "I couldn't resist my excitement"

"You ready" , Mekhi says laughing, "Or do you new to pack a little more?"

"Pack! I didn't know what last minute things to bring, I thought you could help"

"Sound like my typical Shiloh" he says jokingly " let's get to it."
