The Cabin Boy

Ch. 1

Cabin Boy's POV

It has been two days since I joined Captain Blackbeard's crew and I still haven't seen the captain before. His co-captain, Jack Sparrow, is in charge of us pirates while Blackbeard is away and I still manage to act like a pirate.

Oh wait, I forgot to introduce myself. Oh, where are my manners?

My name is Cabin Boy and I'm 16 years old full of energy and living my new pirate life! You see I never really had parents so I don't remember them or my acual name, but the crew calls me Cabin Boy well because I'm the cabin boy. The youngest boy to join the crew and ready to sail the seven seas as a young pirate!

I'm very excited to be able to meet Captain Blackbeard, although I heard he is the meanest pirate to ever live, but I'm sure he will be soft on me because I'm new around here. Since I joined the pirate crew, they didn't really like me much because they thought I was too weak, but I will prove to him one day that I am capable of being a pirate!

Jack Sparrow is probably my only friend that I have on this crew so I try to blend in with him, although he is amazing and very funny!

Oh I wonder what life is like as a pirate. I want to be able to smell the salty air and fight among those who dare came across me, but right now I'm with Captain Jack Sparrow walking around the nearby village as Jack spots a nice feathered pirate hat.

" So what do you want? ", asked the man

" I will take that this nice hat. " , said Jack

" Alright mate, that wil be 50 gold. " , the man stated.

" 50? Can't you go a little lower mate? " , Jack asked " Help a pirate out. "

" It's 50 take it or leave it. " , the man grumbled

" Hm, I will take it for 30 gold " , Jack nodded " It looks worthless to me anyway, but I'm doing you a favor. "

" Really? " , the man asked glancing at the hat

" Very worthless. So take the offer or leave it " , he stated

" Fine. " , says the man " 30 gold "

" Okay then. " , Jack smiled.

Captain Jack only paid 30 gold for a nice looking hat?

Wow!

Captain Jack thanks the man for the hat as we started to walk back to the ship.

" Don't you like it lad? " , Jack asked me

" I like it. It's nice. " , I replied

" Well laddie all you gotta do is just lower it down, make a few statements, and then BAM you get a nice hat for only 30 gold! " , Jack chuckled

" Impressive! " , I said clapping 

" Why thank you very much. " , he chuckled taking a bow

We laughed our way back to the ship as we stepped into on the deck and then I see many of the men gathering around the center of the ship.

" Hey did I say you could take a break from your duties? " , Jack shouted over them

The men turned around and gave us a serious look and stood apart from each other making room for someone to come by.

I saw a pirate with a brown leather coat and boots wearing his usual clothing with a black beard drifting down his chin. He gave Jack a serious look and then looked at me as if was observing me.

He looks scary as a pirate to be honest.

" Whatca staring at, boy? " , he asked sternly.

" Nothing sir. " , I said quietly.

The man looked at Jack with a glare.

" Now go do something productive unless you want to walk the plank. " , he ordered
" Yes captain " , Jack said before leaving me standing there speechless

Wait...black beard. This man has a black beard and looks like a captain of high rank.

Captain Blackbeard?

That's him!
