Chapter 4: Halloween Party

*Nevaeh's POV*

"Maybe I shouldn't be all dolled up." I said hesitantly, looking at my reflection in the mirror.

That note was still bugging me.

"Why not?" Heaven smiled finishing putting hairspray in my hair. "Masquerade ball guests are supposed to look like goddesses"

I had on a purple sparkly strapless dress that ended around my ankles. It was skin tight showing off my curves until just below my butt where it began to poof out a bit. It was pretty easy to walk in which was nice.
My hair was in a side braid with glitter and matching baby flowers in it. I had on matching purple heels and lots of make up.

Heaven had a cotton candy pink ball gown, it had ruffles at the top and rhinestones just under her breasts curving around her back and swooping down lower. It had a loop strap and an open back.
Her hair was in a high messy bun with pink flowers and lots of glitter. And of course matching pink shoes to tie it all in.

We were in costume as masquerade ball guests, as Heaven stated earlier.

"The poof of your dress could eat me" I said laughing as she stepped away.

"I like it" she announced.

"Well that's good" cause there's no going back now.

"Off we go!" She grinned grabbing her car keys.

We got there and there were teenagers all over the front lawn either dancing or kissing. All of them in various costumes.

The music was so loud I could hear it blasting from outside.

Red plastic cups littered the yard. The mailbox was bent awkwardly sideways.

"Wow" I said in shock.

"What, not what you expected?" Said a girl in front of me.
She had blonde hair and green eyes. Her dress was baby blue, skin tight and stopped just above her knees. She had a stethoscope around her neck, and a little nurses hat. She was clearly trying to pull off nurse, but the blue kind of ruined it.

"No" I admitted.

"Go have fun" Heaven whispered before walking away joining her crowd of friends.

"Don't worry," the girl smiled "I'll take care of you" she grabbed my arm and practically dragged me inside.

I couldn't even hear my own thoughts the music was so loud.

The girl grabbed an empty cup and filled it with something clear.

"Water" she mouthed and handed it to me.

I smiled and took it from her. I'm glad that she didn't try to give me alcohol. I've never had it so who knows what crazy things I would do under its influence.

We walked around a bit until our drinks ran out.

She took my cup from my hand and headed over to refill it.

Someone tapped my shoulder so I turned.

It was Heaven.

"Hi!" I shouted.

"Hi!" She yelled back "Having fun?!" She screamed.

"What?!" I yelled for clarification.

"Having fun!" She screamed again.

"Kind'a" I yelled back.

"Your friend is coming back I'd better go!" She gestured to the girl coming back with the drinks.
"Bye!"

"Bye!" I called after her as she returned to flirting with her boyfriend.

I took the cup from her and looked to make sure it was water. Yep, still crystal clear water.

I drank the whole thing really fast not realizing how thirsty I'd been.

I wobbled a bit, then shakily I walked over to the drinks and grabbed a bottle of who knows what and chugged it

Everything got fuzzy.

I looked over to see a grinning girl holding my hand and taking me away.

*Heaven's POV*

I saw Nevy being dragged away by this mystery girl.

Strange.

I didn't think much of it until I saw her almost fall over. In the process she accidentally dropped what she was holding, a bottle?

I looked closer and saw that she had a glazed look in her eyes and she was laughing at whatever the other girl was saying. She looked at me and very much in a daze she waved and smiled.

"Oh no" I said, though you couldn't hear it through the music.

I tried to make it over to where they were but they were all the way at the other end and inside a different room now.

Behind closed doors.

I pushed through the crowd hoping not to be too late.

I finally made it and tried to open the door

Locked.

Dang it.
