When mom wakes me up this morning I wake up without a problem! I'm so excited for the feis today! I won a dance yesterday so I hope I can win it again today! I'm doing 2 more dances this time because we were able to sign me up for hornpipe and traditional set yesterday!
I'm so happy and excited I barely notice all of the pulling and stabbing going on on my head. We go down to eat and I get the same thing I did yesterday!
We finish up and go up to the ballroom. We pass Miss Roisin on the way.
"Scarlet can I talk to you?" She asks me. Mom nods and I follow her. We go down to the lobby and to the couches.
"I just wanted to tell you how pleased I am with your progress so quickly."
"Thank you!"
"I talked to your mom last night and we want to move you into the Novice class. You'll compete advance beginner for the rest of the Feises your signed up for but I think you could hold your own in novice."
"Oh wow thank you!"
"Any time sweetheart. Now lets go dance!"

Miss Roisin said that all of my dances looked really good! And that she hopes I win stuff so I can move into novice! We're waiting in the awards room again. We just watch Anna's awards and she won! Cameron got 3rd in that group too!
"We are ready to start results for Advanced Beginner so could they Under 9 competitors please come over to here." I give mom a quick hug before I go over. Today there doing it a bit differently. The volunteer asked who danced reel and then gave us the ribbon but we didn't go out behind the podium.
"So competition 236, there are 4 placements..." I look down at my number one last time, 80. I take a deep breath as he starts to call out the placements. "In a tie for 4th place competitors 80, Scarlet Watt from the Maloney school and 689 Tia Duelan from the Flanagan School.
Aw there goes my hope for podiuming in every dance. But I'm still happy! I bumped into the girl I was dancing with in this dance so I was nervous about placing. They finish announcing and then we all bow and walk back. I'm standing next to some random girl who was really good and she whispers to me "I think you should have won."
"No you did awesome you should have." I whisper back to her and she just shrugs.
"Now competition 237 the light jig. in 6th place..." Oh wow they're placing everyone in this one...
"In 4th place competitor 689 Tia Duelan from the Flanagan School." Ahhhh I'm in the top 3!
"In 3rd place, competitor 330 Joe Grant from the Greenly Academy. In 2nd place, Conpetior 789 Jess Hynes from the Bulls School and in first place, competitor 80, Scarlet Watt from the Maloney Academy!" I won light jig again! I can't believe it! Today the sash is Blue but says the same thing. I get the same trophy as yesterday only the Feis name is different! Ahhhhhhh I'm so excited!
"Now competition 238, the single jig. In 4th place, Competitor 330 Joe Grant from the Greenly Academy. In 3rd place, Competitor 689 Tia Duelan from the Flanagan Academy. In 2nd place, competitor 80, Scarlet Watt from the Maloney Academy."
Woot Woot! Second place! I get my trophy and step onto the podium.
We step off and head off to the side.
"Competition 239, In 3rd place, competitor 220 Anna Finch from the Greenly Academy. In 2nd place Annie O'Neil from the Devlin School and the winner of the slip jig is competitor 80, Scarlet Watt from the Maloney Academy."
Ahhhhh I won slip jig too! I almost run up to the podium and I'm given another sash that's red!
"Okay now the Treble jig. In 7th place..." Oh they're placing everyone again...
They're on the top 3 and I haven't been called. I'm holding my breath as they begin to announce again. "in 3rd place, competitor 708 Grace Miller from the Greenly Academy. In 2nd place, competitor 80, Scarlet Watt from the Maloney Academy."
2nd! And only my 2nd time doing it!
Now Hornpipe and Traditional set... I don't know how I'll do in these because I've never competed them except for today...
"In 4th Place, competitor 708 Grace Miller from the Greenly Academy. In 3rd place, competitor 80 Scarlet Watt. In 2nd place...."
Omg I can't believe I placed in hornpipe! I didn't think I would! Maybe I'll place in Traditional Set too! "In 6th place..." Ahhh why do they keep placing everyone? But hey I wasn't last... Or 5th... Or 4th... Oh my god the top 3!
"In 3rd place competitor 108 Amanda Cheeseman from the Reagans Academy. In 2nd place competitor 80, Scarlet Watt from the Maloney Academy. and in first place..."
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! Second in traditional set! I get another sash and a bigger trophy than the other ones!!
Once we're done I run over to mom. She's almost crying!
"Scarlet you did amazing!" She says while hugging me tightly.
"Look at you little champion!" Anna says.
Once we're all done talking we go back up to the hotel room. We had to walk up some steps. I end up slipping and landing on my ankle.
"Scarlet? Are you okay?" Mom says.
"I don't know... It hurts..."
"Oh no Scar..." Dad picks me up and carries me back to the hotel room.
Mom takes off my shoe and sock and I'm almost in shock at what I saw.
