I was being lifted on to the stage as the music started up. "Hello Los Angeles." I said in a smooth voice and the crowd screamed at the sound. I appeared on the stage with a puff of smoke and walked forward singing the intro to my song as their screams died down to them singing along to the up beat tune. "My momma always told me to take my blessings with sugar! And my daddy always said to, watch out for those little boys. Yea. And now that I am older, I think I know what their talking about. Growing somewhat wiser, so I'll never go without!" My voice filled the auditorium with the crowds as well. I marveled in their unison and let them sing the next verse with out me pointing the mic to them. I felt the rush and the love of the crowd. Then they were all chanting my name loud and clear. "Alaya! Alaya!" They screamed. "Alaya!" Their voices turned into Jelena's, waking me from my amazing dream. "Umph!" I exclaimed flopping onto my side and burrowing into the covers. "Alaya we're going to be late! Get up!" My sister slid the covers off of me to which I growled. Yes, growled. "Five more minutes." I mumbled reaching for my covers to see that I couldn't. Damn it, why does she know me so well? "You have half an hour to get ready and I know you didn't shower last night so let's go. And you promised me McDonald's this morning for not telling Dad you snuck out to see Haven last night. If you hadn't snuck out in the first place and stayed up so late you wouldn't have missed your alarm." She mumbled the last part under here breath. "Alright, alright. Just stop nagging me, you sound like mom." I opened my eyes and took cover, aka rolled off the side of the bed and ducked. Sure enough a shoe bounced off of the wall and landed next to me. I giggled before standing up and heading to my closet where I pulled out a pair of blue denim skinny jeans and a teal v neck tee that was cropped in the front and longer in the back. "I'll still get you food, calm down Godzilla." I said. She turned to go to her room with a flip of her hair. She sported fitted pale blue denim skinnies that were folded and reached her ankles and a white baby doll shirt with a pair of converses on. Her light brown hair was styled in natural beach waves, hanging past her just shoulders. Of course miss perfect was already ready with half an hour to go. I rolled my eyes in annoyance and went in to our joint bathroom for my shower. I quickly washed my hair and body before stepping out inhaling the scent of steam and body wash. Hurriedly I pulled on my clothes and then simultaneously blow dried my hair and brushed my teeth. My curls were a bit unmanageable today so I twisted it into a messy bun atop of my head and then poked and pulled at it until it was a cute messy instead of a ratchet messy with two short tendrils shaping my face. Next was the small amount of makeup I bothered with. First my camouflage foundation which mostly covered my freckles. Then nude color eye-shadow to finish erasing my tired look and then liquid jet black eyeliner. Only on top with a slight wing. (Bottom eyeliner makes your eyes look smaller and I like for my grey blue babies to be enhanced, not minimalized) then mascara and I was finished. Oh! Shoes! I grabbed my teal jewel studded ankle gladiator sandals and slipped them on, folding my jeans to replicate my sisters. I grabbed my mint green purse (its more like a satchel with the top an off white color lace and the rest of it long fringed) and my black floral book bag, stuffing my phone charger inside my purse and my binder in my book bag when I noticed Jasper's homework from last night on top of my laptop. Shit. "Did mom leave yet?" I shouted at Jelena. "She's about to!" She shouted back. I heard the car door shut. Double shit. I snatched the paper and my keys and ran downstairs and out the door. Moms car had just started to back out. "Mom! Mom wait!" I yelled flinging my arms about like a crazy person. She stopped as I ran to the car. "Yes Alaya?" She said with a grin. "Jasper's homework." I said showing her. "Baby I told you last night, I need you to take them this morning I have a meeting. Hayden's car seat is in your car already, Jelena put it in." Of course she did. "I'm already late!" I sighed exasperated. "Well you better get going. Love you bye!" She rushed out while driving off. "Love you to." I mumbled in defeat walking back inside. "Jasper?" My little brother hopped down the stairs. I handed him his homework which he put in his binder he held. "Thanks for helping me last night." He said. "But you're still a brat." With that he grabbed an apple and walked to the car. "That's why its locked." I yelled after he shut the door. "Hayden!" I yelled. "Jelena!" "We're right here." Jelena said behind me. Turning around I see she's holding little four year old Hayden. "Hey bubba, you ready for your first day at pre-k?" I said pinching his cheeks. "Yes. I'm going to be a senior." He said trying to look mature. I laughed before saying, "No, I'm going to be a senior. You're going to be in pre-k." "Nuh uh!" He argued. "Alright. Load up." We all went to my 2004 white ford focus, Jelena checking to make sure the house door was locked. I sighed, "I'm not that irresponsible." I stated. She gave me a look that said as if. Shrugging I climbed into the drivers seat and put my bags on the passenger floor board. I turned around as Hayden struggles with his seat belt. "Jasper help your brother." Jasper went to help him but before he could touch it Hayden snapped,"I got it!" He was in the I can do it myself stage. Hence his mix match outfit that consisted of a blue striped shirt button up shirt and cargo shorts. Plus his shoes were on the wrong foot. "Jelena." I said looking over at her, "Have you seen our baby brothers outfit?" I asked. I brought a shirt to match his shoes, you know he only listens to you about that stuff." She shook her head. I grinned my approval of Hayden's actions. Putting the car in reverse I headed to the elementary school first since it was closest. Hayden Dwayne is the baby of the family and he's four, today is his first day in school if you don't count daycare and head start. He has sandy brown hair like Jelena and hunter green eyes like her and our dad. He also has a cute dimple on his left cheek and a slight tan, also just like Jelena and dad. Then there was Jasper, he's ten and in fifth grade. He's more like like mom and I feature wise, with a strong jaw, dark auburn hair and grey blue eyes. A slight hint of a tan but not as sun kissed as the other two. Then Jelena with her adorable heart shaped face and gentle features, she's a sophomore and fifteen. If you would like a visual aid think of a fifteen year old Spencer Hastings off of Pretty Little Liars. Then there's me. I'm seventeen and a senior, I'm more of a slightly tan Emily with red hair. And I'm straight. Hayden and I are the rebels, while Jasper and Jelena are straight boards. No joke. Complete teachers pet type. I love them though. Jelena turned on the radio where it stayed on 102.7. They were talking so I told Jelena to plug in my phone to the aux. She did so, she knows not to question my music but she doesn't mind since we have almost the same taste. "Play the Don't Dream its Over cover." The song filled the speakers and I sang along and tapped the wheel to the beat. "You're voice is seriously amazing, I don't get why you don't post videos on YouTube. You could become famous." Jelena said. "I have no interest-" "In fame. And plus your voice isn't anything special. I know, I know. You say the same thing every time. Just like I say the same thing every time. You have a great talent, and its selfish to not bless the world with your voice." I roll my eyes. "You have an exaggerating problem." I said returning to the song, ending the conversation.
