I was woken up when my mom walked into my room, turning on the light and basically blinding me. "Sorry, I didn't mean to wake up, it's just almost eleven and you should probably be getting to your apartment soon." She said before leaving. I dragged myself out of bed and into the shower before changing into a black long-sleeved top and a black pinafore dress, leaving my hair in its black notty self.

"Joy called saying Calum's already settled in, I don't want it to seem like I'm kicking you out, it's just I want you to be comfortable in your new home." Mom started again when I got down stairs. "Yeah mom it's fine, I'll be going soon." I nodded, pulling on my vans. Dad offered to drive me and all three of us got in the car.
"Mom, you didn't have to come. I'll be seeing you all the time anyway." I sighed.
"I'm not just coming for you Megan, I haven't seen Calum in ages."

We pulled up and I took my parents to our apartment, opening the door and seeing Calum wasn't actually in. "That's a shame." Mom frowned a little. They both said a quick goodbye and hugged me before leaving me alone. I took out my phone and played Vessel by Twenty One Pilots and started on my room. I hung up all my clothes and folded some away in my drawers before sorting everything else out. I was half way through when I heard the door open, and then shut again.

I walked out of my room seeing Calum. "Oh, hey roomie." He grinned.
"Hey." I replied, smiling at the nickname 'roomie'.
"I was just talking to my friend who lives further up the building, do you mind if he comes in?" Calum asked.
I laughed. "You don't have to ask Calum. You live here too."

Calum smiled and invited his friend in, introducing himself as Ashton. I said a quick hello before going back into my room and sorting it out. Later that afternoon, when it got to dinner, Calum ordered us a pizza for Ashton left.
"I ordered margarita, is that okay?" He asked. I nodded and sat next to him in the sofa. "Hey, don't you think it's weird that we live all by ourselves now." He started. "Like, we have no parents to tell us what to do anymore and it's summer. We can visit the beach whenever we want and eat ice cream at whatever time we want."

I let it sink in that I wasn't living with my parents anymore. I was living with Calum now and I had to do things for myself. I was starting collage in six weeks. I was distracted by my thoughts when Calum handed me a pizza box. "Thanks." I smiled, taking a slice.

"Hey, do you want to go shopping and get some food?" Calum asked while we both lounged on the sofa watching an old series on his Netflix account. "Cal, it's 2am." I sat up and rubbed my eyes. "So?" He shrugged. "Go and grab your shoes. I'm taking you shopping." He jumped up and pulled on a jacket.

So here we were, sat in a car on our way to the nearest Target for some food. Calum pulled up in the car park nearest to the door and we ran in, avoiding the heavy rain. We walked around, picking up anything and dropping it in the kart I was wheeling around. "We definitely need ice cream." Calum said, directing me to the ice cream. In the end, we settled on mint chocolate chip before grabbing some cereal and paying for the food. Let's just say it cost a lot.

We finally made it back home and unpacked all the food we bought at almost 4am. "I think I'm going to go to bed. I'm really tired." I said once we'd finished unpacking. "Me too. I'll see you in the morning roomie." Calum replied before we both headed into our bedrooms.
