They rushed back to the lair and into the lab where Donnie began working on the two injured mutants. Raph and Mikey contacted their father and human friends telling them to get to the lair as soon as possible.

The red and orange clad turtles sat in the main room where the tv was but it wasn't on, their heads were bowed deep in thought.

Donnie was running around his lab working on the two eldest mutants trying to stop the bleeding and make sure they lived.

A few hours passed and Donnie was still working on Leo and sky, April and Casey having got the turtles call rushed over as fast as they could.

Once the two humans arrived and ran into the lair they could feel the temperature drop around them, they looked to Raph and Mikey taking in their blank expressions as the turtles stared at their hands.

Casey walked over to the two youngest turtles sitting down next to them as April went to the lab to help Donnie.

April walked into the lab and was shocked to see Leo and Sky hooked up to many different machines...she watched as Donnie worked on the two eldest mutants.

The purple clad turtle moved quickly fixing the two eldest mutants wounds and constantly checking their vitals. He glanced over to April and nodded showing he knew she was there.

The red headed teen walked over to the turtle looking at Leo and Sky....and she asked the one question that everyone would want to know.

"What happened," her voice was soft but loud enough for the brainiac turtle to hear. Donnie looked to April and sighed "T-they saved us...they beat Vincent."

April's heart broke at hearing Donnie's shaky voice....she placed her hand on his shoulder offering the strength he needed.

They each shared a warm smile before they both started working on the two eldest.

After a few more hours of working on the two eldest mutants they were finally finished, the heart monitors beeped showing the injured mutants were stable.

Donnie and April soon told the others about Leo and sky and that they'd pull through, at this news the two humans and the three younger turtles cheered and smiled excited that the two eldest would be alright.

Splinter was next to arrive at the lair and once Donnie filled him in on what happened the elder rat made his way to the lab to see his son and sky.

The two humans and elder rat felt guilty having left in the middle of the battle thinking that Leo and sky had the battle in the bag.

And despite their victory they had sustained serious injuries, and even though Donnie said they would pull through they couldn't be a hundred percent sure.....not yet anyway.

~time skip~

It has been nearly three weeks and the two eldest mutants still haven't woken up....their injures were healing slowing but surely.

There had been a few times where their vitals peaked and caused the others to have miniature heart attacks, other than that nothing really had happened in the turtles lair. April and Casey would visit everyday and Splinter would stop by every once in a while.

At this very moment Raph and Mikey are battling in a video game while Donnie looks over Leo and Sky.

With Donnie (no POV):

He was currently checking over his notes and reviewing Leo and Sky's vital charts, "d-Donnie," said a shaky and hoarse voice. Since he thought he was alone the purple clad turtle threw all his papers into the air out of fear and unsheathed his bo staff.

Turning around to face where the voice came from the brainiac turtle saw that Leo was now awake and trying to sit up, Donnie rushed over to his eldest brother gently laying him back down onto the cot.

Leo looked at Donnie's face through half lidded eyes that held pain and exhaustion, the purple clad turtle began checking the older turtles vitals before asking him a few questions.

"How to you feel Leo?"

"S-sore," the eldest turtle whispered.

Donnie nodded before giving his eldest brother some pain killers, "Your wounds seem to be healing perfectly and all you need to do now is rest." Just as the brainiac turtle said that Leo bolted upward slightly his voice full of concern and fear "How's sky!"

Once again Donnie gently laid Leo back down onto the cot, the purple banded mutant's voice was soft "She's alright but she hasn't woken up yet." The blue banded turtle glanced over to the cot that Sky was on and sighed he was glad she was alright but all he really wanted right now was to hear Sky's voice and to see her crystal eyes.

For everyone knew that the two eldest had fallen for one another and would do anything to protect their love....but Leo didn't want to experience the pain of loss he loved both his brothers and sky and if any of them ever fell protecting him Leo wouldn't be able to live with himself.

A small groan snapped the blue banded turtle out of his thoughts glancing over at the cot Sky was on and his eyes eyes widen, her vitals were spiking slighting her breathing was uneven and her face showed nothing but pain.

Donnie jumped into action checking my vitals and trying to calm my racing heart, after a few minutes of running around he finally got sky stable. Her breathing was still abnormal but her vitals had settled at their normal rate.

Leo let out a breath he wasn't aware of holding and the purple clad turtle looked to his brother, "She will be fine now," Leo barely heard what Donnie said due to the millions of questions racing through his brain but with one last look at sky's face he let a small smile form.

His eyes grew heavy and exhaustion took over and he fell into a peaceful sleep his breathing was even and soft as he shifted slightly on the cot trying to get comfortable. Donnie left so the two eldest could rest in peace but little did he know their slumber wouldn't last long.
