1 The Prophecy

Legend has it that the first all powerful beings created were the Great Luminaries

The first Celestias

They were the first legends and myths that awed mankind

Royal rulers of the skies

The Creator named these orbs
Moon illuminated night
Sun illuminated day

But He personally called them Halo and Luna

These Luminaries became so powerful they developed minds of their own
They shared the sky
And Together they gave light to the world
All was well

After many eons of sharing their world
Darkness and light befriended one another
Emotions swirled
And then although they were night and day
They became lovers
But in time Halo realized their romance was a danger, and his heart began to sway

Harmful to life
And to eachother
His bright rays made Luna unknowingly darker
And her darkness dulled his rays
The orbs endured the strife
Yet they weakened one other
It was not their faults, he knew
His greatest fear was that they would cause eachother to become too weak...

If light is weak
It will parish

Then the end of life as they knew it would come
If the world became to bright it would be burned
And if too dark it would freeze
Then dead they would lie
The world needed them
But not together

Luna was in denial
She believed that their love could preserve the world
And she didn't want to leave him
The separation would be unbearable for them both
Halo reluctantly agreed

But then he saw signs of the end
The world itself took sick from too much light or the lack of it
It was becuase of their greed
Luna didn't seem to notice, and if she did she ignored all
Halo wasn't oblivious
He knew their selfish ways would not only end other life but theirs too
So he made a difficult desicion

The Sun decided to leave the Moon, allowing the sky and earth to seperate them and pull them apart
From his love he had to withdrawal

He spun the world to keep himself on one side
Luna on the other
In this way everyone would be safe
Halo died every night, after the day was done, to let Luna breath
But she didn't know of his desicion
Nor of his sacrifice
Her hope soon did subside
She thought he had abandoned her, and left her with child
Enraged, Luna sent her sons away to be with Halo
They became the Sons of the Sun
The mythical creatures of Land and Light
The daughters of Luna became the myths of Darkness and Sea

Becuase Halo still believed in Love, he allowed his sons to have mates
But Luna was heartbroken and lost hope in such a thing
She only choose one of her daughters to be without a mate
Out of the Leviathan and the Kraken and the many other mythical water beings
She chose the Siren to live without love
They would rule over all in her ocean
Their likness of her would be a reminder to the world of what a danger love can be

To save the helpless beings on earth and his beloved Luna from his own fire, the Sun continued to die every night

The souls of the Luminaries were entwined

So Halo knew how lonley Luna felt
When ever the world spun fast enough, Luna in its grasp
They would meet
Halo tried to reassure her of his love
But Luna was too dark
Warmth and light was drianed from her in his absence
And all she felt was emptiness
During their meetings they would argue, waging war with one another
One light source dominated the other
An Eclipse
They would only hurt eachother

Luna had given up on him
But Halo never did, and vowed he never will

Using the purest of light he could create he let it shine upon his children
Selecting one of them, he infused it into their fate
To show her dark daughters and Luna, that creatures of light are not evil
In hopes to remind her of his love

If he can show the darkest of Luna's daughters that a Son of the Sun could show compassion
He can win her back by means of her favorite daughter

The Sun decided to choose, what was believed to be the most destructive of his children
What creature he chose is unknown
In this way he could prove that although imperfect, like himself, a lowly creature could show love
But he was wise and knew he must choose the darkest of Luna
To show the damaged and torn and broken could still be loved

One that the moon herself would allow to suffer, to make her chosen child stronger to protect her beloved sea
And Luna hoped her child's trial would keep her safe from harm, including heartbreak
Her chosen one of the Sea
A dark creature especially gifted with Lunar abilities no other will posses

Marked by the Red of Halo
And the Blue of Luna
The mixed color
The crescent of moon engulfed around the sun
The Seal of the Luminaries
Present at birth
And this would identify The Ocean's Vioce

This is the prophecy of The Ocean's Voice

A curse created by Luna

With a hope unknowingly added on to by Halo

For her it was for the good of her beloved Sea

For him it was to reassure his beloved

Of his love

To this day no one knew what The Ocean's Voice is, and what that being was ment to do

The mermaids didn't know when it would take place or how

And part of the recorded prophecy was lost in time

The mer people didn't know of Halo's addition of the meeting of a Son

They only knew he wanted to reassure Luna of his love

Then a mermaid was born... with a purple symbol on her shell

Her eyes and tail also the colors of a Celestia, a royal ruler from the Luminaries

Her Lunar powers extraordinary

Just as the prophecy said!

And her birth in the Marine War caused the Elders of her people to believe she was their savior

But when the war was lost and genocide upon them, they realized they were gravely mistaken

Their mermaid warrior had failed

If she was apart of this prophecy... what was she sappouse to do?

Even if her people knew all of the prophecy, the solution remained unclear...
