Marcel

Rebekah: You're going out on a DATE with her?!

I inhale a sharp breath at the text message. I haven't seen my actual girlfriend in a few days, so I suppose I've been getting a bit caught up in my fake relationship. But I have to. In order to truly take down Klaus nothing can go wrong. No one can suspect anything.

Marcel: You were the one who said to make it seem real. She's in love with me, Beks. Don't be mad. I love you, always.

I can almost see her roll her eyes.

"Hey, you ready?" Caroline shows up in a small dress, hugging her curves. She was quite skinny, her legs equally model like.

"Yeah. Where do you want to go?" I ask, a bit scattered with my thoughts. A look of disappointment shows on her face. Right. Of course I'm supposed to already have this prepared.

"I'm joking. C'mon," I lie. Caroline brightens at that, nodding and following me out the door. How is it possible my fake relationship if harder to maintain than my real one? My phone rings again.

Rebekah: "Make it seem real" doesn't mean to ignore your actual girlfriend. Get your priorities straight Marcel. Then come back to me when you're not snogging your "girlfriend".

I shudder at the harsh text. She really is pissed. Not that she didn't have a reason to be, but I can't just disappear all the time to see Rebekah. Then Caroline would be upset, and right now, my "priorities" are Caroline and making sure she doesn't get suspicious of me.

"Who was that?" Caroline asks once we get into the car.

"Nothing. Work related," I say as usual. She almost knows I'm lying, but let's it go.

I drive off to a specific restaurant I knew he would be at. He had to be there. He would see us. He would be jealous. He wouldn't be able to do anything about it. It's perfect.

"Oh," she answers. The ride is silent, almost awkward, before we finally arrive. I get her door, and she smiles widely.

"Aren't you a gentleman?" She giggles. I take her hand in mine, pressing a small kiss to her temple which she blushes at.

Just as I thought, Klaus sits at the bar of the restaurant, drinking his feelings down. The poor bastard, lonely as ever.

"If you've come to aggravate me even more and relish in the fact that I've been drinking since 4:00, please remember I'm very much capable of kicking you out. You know, this bar being mine and all," he says when we reach a little closer towards him, not even looking up from his drink to know it was us. I clench my fists, sighing. Caroline tenses under my hold.

"He didn't know you were here-" Caroline attempts to calm the original, which slightly works as his gaze softens when he turns to her.

"Yes he did. It's all apart of his plan to make me jealous, isn't it Marcel?" He asks. He knows?! No, he can't. He's just assuming. I play it off casually.

"I didn't know you were here, Mikaelson. If I did I would have chose somewhere else instantly. Trust me. Caroline and I were out to dinner," I show the girl off, wrapping my arm around her waist and pulling her in closer. Klaus grips his mug tighter, taking a last swig of the liquid.

"Well don't let me interrupt," he growls, his eyes secretly scanning the blonde's body, letting out a breathy sigh before returning to his bartender, ordering another drink.

I pull out a seat for Caroline, purposely in Klaus's line of vision, which she thanks me for.

"Do you want red or white wine m'lady?"

"Mhm... White," she smiles, scanning the menu. I peer over to Klaus who is trying not to be interested in our date at all. Although I catch his small stares here and there when Caroline laughs, or just flat out smiles.

I've never seen him this way. In love, I guess would be the word.

Yet all I can think about is crushing his love, forcing Caroline to hate him and how wonderful it will be when that day comes.
