"Scaredy cat, Scaredy cat!" The chants and laughs surrounding her as she looked down at the ground. "I'm not a scaredy cat." She mumbled, pushing and shoving her way out of the large crowd, that seemed to be going on forever. Laughs and chants surrounding her still, as she looked around trying to find some way to escape.

Smaller and smaller she got as the laughs got louder and louder. Shrinking down until she was barely anything at all. She cried the whole time. She screamed the whole time. But no one could hear her screams. Her body shook as her cries got louder, though no one even cared.

That is, until she woke up.

She was sweating, gasping for air, looking around as she realized she was just in her room the whole time. Except, she didn't feel the same way she did before she had fallen asleep. Was it all just a dream? Or was there a chance that she had been saved from the Hell she was going through.

She smiled only slightly, telling herself that it WAS all just a dream, a nightmare even. And she told herself that over and over until she finally believed that was the truth. Though, if I've learned anything from my experiences, not everything is what it seems. The truth may not be the truth. And the lies may not actually be lies.

So you decide for yourself, what do you believe is true, and what do you believe isn't?

That's what I had to do when I woke up once again.

Nothing is what it seems.
