"Surprised you didn't bring up me paying for your food yet," Louis said as we exited Wendy's.
"Well you made me go get drinks, and by the time I thought about it, you had already paid and I didn't want to argue. It would've gotten me anywhere," I smiled as we walked to that car, plopping down in the seats.
"Pretty AND smart," Louis smiled jokingly as he turned on the car, pulling out of the parking space.
"Hey, I didn't say I could not have won the argument in the first place, I always do somehow, but I was a little...flustered then. And thank you," I said, defending my honor, but getting almost to a mumble at the end of my response.
"You're welcome," he chuckled, blindly searching for my hand.
He intertwined our fingers in my lap, his arm resting on my bare leg.
The car was slowing down, and quickly.
"Shit," Louis cursed to himself through his white teeth as he started to mess with the car keys. The car was still slowing to a halt though.
"My car's breaking down," he explained with a frustration.
The car was getting slower. He pulled into a hotel parking lot with the speed he still had left.
"Well that's great," he sighed, rubbing his face in his hands.
I was dancing with joy on the inside. No, I don't want to walk home or wait here for forever for a truck to come and fix it, but the outcome in anyway was being able to spend more time with Louis, so I was actually a little happy that the car stopped working.
"How about I walk you home?" Louis suggests with a smile.
"Okay," I agreed, returning the genuine smile, looking amazing on him- just like everything else.
We got out of the car and he jogged over to me as I started walking. The walk wasn't very long to my house, but it was long enough for a good conversation.
As we walked, we talked about everything and anything. We laughed, we laughed so hard I thought I was going to pee myself. There was a time were I thought I was going to strangle a young blonde woman because she winked to Louis as she jogged passed us, Louis ignored her, but she was still gorgeous and jealousy engulfed me as her perky boobs bounced down the sidewalk.
He, of course, noticed my irritation of her short presence, but continued to give me all his attention. All through this, he gave me butterflies. He made me happy by just standing there, by just talking...about the stupidest things, might I add.
He was a random person, we were weird together though. When I first met him, he was all big and tough, still is, but now he's funny and crazy. He wasn't afraid to be his true self around me and I liked it. I liked it a lot.
We finally turned on my street and my house wasn't too far.
"Could you make time for me tomorrow night?" he asked hesitantly, smiling but you could tell he was nervous.
"For what?" I asked, thinking wrong. I knew he wasn't talking about that, but I thought it was almost sick that I would probably say yes if he did mean that. Louis was just respectful to me though...at times, tonight was one time though where he was. We got to me house, stopping on the mat of my front door. My back was to my big wooden door and facing Louis, standing nervously in front of me.
He chuckled, thinking the same, "No perv, I want to take you out," He smiled, getting more nervous.
Was he trying to ask me out on a date?
"Take me out to where?" I asked.
"That's going to be a surprise," He smiled.
"I'd love to go," I smiled.
