We all, well five of us gathered around the entrance. I sat on one of the cement blocks. Alec and Adrien were right beside me.

"So, big day?" Alec asked and I nodded. I pulled down my sleeves and crossed my arms.

"Finally getting to talk to her." Adrien said and cracked his knuckles.

"I guess so, yeah." I laughed softly and looked off to the distance. The sun was at its highest so we had to squint. I saw a car approaching slowly but I could barely make out the body. I just know it's small enough to be a car.

One guy came from behind to give us binoculars. Alec looked first and shook his head.

"That isn't friendly looking." He whispered just loud enough for me to hear. I quickly took them from him and recognized the guy and girl in front.

"Hold up. There from the gas station!" I yelled back and we started to walk closer to them as they picked up speed. They were getting faster as we got slower.

"What is he doing?" Alec asked and we kept walking forward. I heard Jess yelling at us to get out of the way but not yet. He about 20 feet and didn't stop. I realize that they were already dead. The guy looked to bled out.

"Get out of the way!" I yelled back as I jumped into the ditch. I got up just in time to see the car flip onto my sisters husband since he pushed her out of the way. She cried out for him and it seems as time has gotten slower. I looked at how it all got faster and why it did. The car wasn't alone and here came Mathis' vans. Along with one I didn't recognize at all.

"Guys! They weren't alone!" I yelled and we all got our weapons ready. Even Jess did. She was so heartbroken but played it off as anger. We are so alike I'm surprised we are siblings by blood.

Revenge isn't going to bring him back to her...

We heard a gun shot from behind, it echoed through the area,
I looked back to only recognize who it was. Oh man was she ever beautiful. She was on top a building and she looked far aimed for far off into the distance. Hale was with her and they both had their eye on aiming for the vans ahead. I got jealous on how close they were, he was practically on top of her. Me just being me, I got pissed off and well.. I guess that makes me better at some things. I aimed for the tires while Jess aimed for the driver. She was in archery so I'm not too worried if she'd have trouble. It took me about three bullets until I actually shot the damn thing. After that it took me two to get the other tires out. It made me feel kind of great, I sucked but I'm getting better at this stuff.

The people got out and we shot at least four but others made it to another van. We counted at least 9 in each van, and so that means we have to make sure our bullets count. Adrian came up beside me and squinted to see what was going km but no one knew. The van was just behind the popped tires one. Three vans but we took care of one.

"What should we do?" I asked. We both looked at each other, and he shrugged.

"Not my calls, Cap." He smiled weakly at me. That's when I noticed Paige was beside me.

"Oh hi! How are you?" I asked and she glared at me. Her expression changed when she realized it was me. Happiness filled through her body, I could see the joy in her eyes.

"Oh my god, Kyle. You're alive? Hale, why didn't you tell me he's here?" She punched Hale playfully, and was about to pull me into a hug but then Jess came between us. She never did that to me.

"We don't have time for a love reunion now. We send out men to check out what's going on." She said and walked to the brick wall. Whoever wasn't injured, and had ammo was lining up. I was getting ready to go but Paige pulled me back.

"No, don't leave me please." She whispered, I kind of pulled away. She has Hale now, he's going to protect her. Not me. I can't even protect myself, so how can I protect her? I failed to keep some of my team alive. I can't do this to her.

"Don't." I said and she looked worried at me. Tears were in her eyes. I realized now I have to stop beating myself up for someone who doesn't... Care.

"Why? Kyle please don't leave me... You're all I have left. You're my home, so please don't leave." She burst into tears, while I looked around. Alec nodded and so did the other guys. They needed me, and she doesn't.

"No strings attached." She fell to her knees and I crouched down to look at her, I grabbed her face and made her look at me.

"Just go... I don't need pain. Maybe Hale was right, just maybe. I thought everything would be okay when we find each other, but it just got worse." She whispered. And looked behind me, I think she's looking at the guys.

It seemed like the sky was cracking, while a storm flew in our way. The wind it carried was destructively beautiful. Alec and Adrian carried me away as my eyes never left her. Hale pulled her away also, she kind of fought then he whispered something in her ear, she nodded then stopped resisting. She looked pale and now broken... I never saw her this way because I made sure she never was this way. Now I'm the one who made her break again.

"Come on, Kyle. You kind of fucked up, but don't worry. We have time still." Alec said and I'm not sure if I should thank him or hate him. He knew how to make it clear and sometimes worse. He's the kind of friend everyone needs. Someone to tell you straight but still care about you.

We gathered around and started to walk towards the van. I noticed the first van had very few bullet holes, it was the only ones I shot. I also noticed most of the holes were on the ground as if it was all purposely done. I started to approach slower and I pointed to the ground to the guys. When I finally reached the back, there was a chain connected to the first and second van. No one was driving the second. There was a gunshot from behind. I looked back and saw Hale get shot in the leg as Eric took Paige. He aimed at Vic, Vic held his hands up in surrender. He was about to shoot him but he backed up with Paige and ran. While the third van just drove off since their engine was running still.

"Kyle!" Was all I heard before I ran after them. By then they were just gone.
