Scotty and I have been together 3 years now! And those years have been the happiest of my life! Scotty's did go on tour but we stayed together and had no problems. Basically our relationship is doing amazing!
"Hey baby, I gotta question" Scotty told me. "Okay, what is it baby?" I asked
"Well I'll be going on another tour soon."
"Yeah"
"Well I was wondering if you would like to go with me."
"I would love too!"
"Good, I gotta feelin this will be fun!"
"Definitely!"
We both smiled at each other. Scotty's tour was in a month but he'd, I mean we, would have to leave next week to get to the city and get all set up. This is going to be more than fun, it will be WONDERFUL!
A week later we were off to Raleigh to get on Scotty's bus. "Be careful" my mom scolded me "I will don't worry, Love you" "Love you too sweetie" she said and we were out the door. We got into Scotty's truck and we headed to Raleigh. Scotty grabbed my hand and turned on the radio. "Cowboys and Angels" came on; every-time it said cowboys i'd point at Scotty, and he'd point at me when it said angels. By the time the song was over we were both laughing. We continued listening to music and singing along and before we knew it we were in Raleigh.
We boarded Scotty's huge tour bus. It was amazing. We put our stuff down in a back closet then cuddles on the huge couch and watched the NC State game. When all the members of the band and managing team boarded the bus, we started rolling off to Texas!
It was a 3 day drive from NC to TX so we had plenty of time to do whatever we pleased. We went to bed early that night because that was our last night and the next morning we had to unload in the concert complex. I was in bright pink sweat pants and a t-shirt and Scotty, being his crazy boy self, wore nothing but shorts, even though it was like 20 degrees. We snuggled together and eventually fell asleep. I awoke about 8 the next morning, Scotty was still asleep. I carefully and quietly slid out of bed, but on my uggs, gave Scotty a gentle kiss on the check, pulled my hair up and went to the front of the bus to the kitchen. Most of the band members we up watching tv in their pjs. "Wheres Scotty" the drummer asked, I can never remember their names. "Being his loser self still asleep" I replied. They all laughed and I continued making a bowl of cereal.
Scotty woke up 10 min later. He walked into the "living room" with sloppy hair and tired eyes. "Good Morning a Sleepy Head" I teased and kissed him. "Get a room you two!!" everyone said "Make us" Scotty scolded and kissed me again. The band members covered their eyes and we laughed.
We all got ready. Scotty threw on some sweatpants and a NC State t-shirt and I put on the same. "Copy-catter" Scotty teased "Nuh uh" I said. We both laughed, brushed our teeth, and went back to the front of the bus. "Ewww y'all match, y'all make me sick" Bobby, or whatever his name was said. "Whatever" Scotty replied. We then went outside and started to help unload.
We got all set up, did a few practice runs, and before we knew it Scotty was ready to perform! At 7p.m. he went on stage. He put on a wonderful performance, as always. About 10p.m. Scotty was done and we went back on the tour bus and went to sleep. We went through this same process in shows in New York, Virginia, and Ohio. And then we headed back to North Carolina for a show!!!!! We were so happy to go back home.
After a long ride we finally made it back home. We went to Scotty's house where mine and his family were and when we showed up they all cried. We went and ate Bojangles,it felt good to have some sweet tea, and then spent the night at Scotty's. The next day we went to the concert pavilion, The Dorton Arena to be exact, and set up and did some practice runs for the concert. "I think tonight's concert will probably be the best ever baby!" Scotty said "What makes you think that, you're goo at all your shows honey." "Well we're back home and I just gotta feelin tonight will be amazing!" "True....okay baby!". We then went back stage to get ready. Scotty and I were soooooo ready for tonight!
Scotty walked out onto the stage and the crowed screamed!!!! He sang a few songs, talked, and acted his crazy self. Then he started playing I Love You This Big. When he got to the part where just the band plays he said something surprising!
"I'd like to bring my amazing girlfriend Chloe onto the stage." His manager came and got me. I was in tears. Scotty took my hand. And HE GOT DOWN ON ONE KNEE!! He reached into his pocket and PULLED OUT A RING! The crowd let bout a big "awwwhhh"! "Chloe Alyssa Cox, I love you so much, Will you marry me?"
I was in tears but I managed to say "Yes!"
He got up, put the ring on my left hand and hugged me. The day I've hoped for finally was here. I was the future Mrs. McCreery!
Scotty went on with his show while me, my friend, Jordan, my mom, and Ashley, Scotty's sister, were backstage freaking out about the engagement! Me, Chloe Cox, was now the fiancé to Scotty McCreery, the future Mrs. McCreery! My life's dream was finally fulfilled!
After the concert, Scotty met me and everyone backstage. He ran up to me, picked me up, and spun me around. I held him so tight. He leaned in and kissed me. "I love you Mrs. McCreery" he said and winked "I love you too, Scott McCreery!" He kissed me again. "Alrightt you too, stop or to get a room!" Jordan said covering her eyes. "Your just jealous Alec hasn't asked you yet" I laughed and winked. Jordan and Alec blushed. "Alright love birds, get onto the bus" Scotty's manager said practically pushing us out the door. We said our goodbyes to our family and friends and we loaded into the bus.
The tour continued for another 2 months. Then we were able to go back home. When we got home Scotty and I went to Bojangles! "Where are we gonna go after?" I asked "You'll see" he replied. Before we pulled out of Bojangles Scotty blindfolded me. We drove for what seemed like forever. We finally stopped, Scotty picked me up out of the truck like a baby and started walking down some kind of steps. Scotty finally took my blindfold off. We were at the beach, the exact spot where we met! "Awh baby" I cried "Surprise" he said. He kissed me and we stood there for about 5 minutes before going back to the truck. We drove back home and went to my house. When we walked in my mom was at the island. "Hey losers" my mom jokes "Hey mom" I replied. Me and Scotty walked into the living room and turned on football. We snuggled up on the couch. Before I knew it I fell asleep.
Through these past few months I've realized that Scotty is even more perfect. And to answer that question, is this forever?, the answer is yes! So what's next in our lives well I'm not sure but I know it it will be amazing!!
