"Are...You okay?? I'm sorry." I ask once he's calm.
"No get away." He crosses his arms and gets up off the couch.
"Vincent I'm sorry." I hold his shoulders and start massaging him. He shakes his head and pulls away.
"You're just like everyone else. I thought you were different but you're not."
"No I am different!" I shout. "Vincent I don't want to hurt you and you have to understand that."
He just gives me a glare.
"Listen I know you've been hurt in the past a lot but I'm not like those people. I promise you...I know you have issues but we could work through this together...You just need to trust me." I say reassuringly.
"Promise?" He asks quietly.
"Yeah...Yeah I promise." I nod and hug him again. "And if you don't want...The handcuffs could stay off."
"Yay" he says excitedly and for the first time, he's able to hug me back.
