Chapter 1 - Introduction

I woke up to the chirping birds and the sun rays shining against my legs my melanin was popping I smiled and rolled on my left side, I picked my phone up and saw 10 messages from Alaina , why is this girl blowing up ma phone ? I opened them, all they read was

"Wake up, the sun is out today is Friday "

I shook my head at how she was often annoying but that was my friend, excuse me I mean best friend since we were in diapers. I got up and stretched my arms and let out a long yawn. Shower time. I leaped in the bathroom, turn the hot shower on and had a quick bath. I was out the shower in no time. I dried myself with my towel and was searching for my clothes oh yea today is friday. On fridays our crew wears jeans so I quickly got my denim ripped high-waisted jeans out with my black crop top and my new jeans jacket I bought yesterday. I got infront the mirror and did my hair in a loose bun leaving some hair in my face. Did my usual make-up, grabbed my pink versace bag, put my converse on and went downstairs it was quiet and lonely because mom left on a vacay for the week. I fed my cat Rumpels and got in my car. I reversed and was on my way to school. I turned my radio on and was listening to Cut It bobbing my head as I neared the stoplight, I made a left when the light turned green and drove unto Grove Street and stopped at a beautiful creme and white 2 storey house, with a lush vegetable garden at the front and a man watering his plants I honked my horn, wined my glass down and he turned around

"Good morning Rissa "
he waved,

"Hey Mr. Brooks I called back is A-"

Before I could finish my sentence the front door opened and Alaina came running out
"Bye dad love you" she yelled.

And got in the passenger seat. She leaped over and hugged me

"Good morning bestie "

and gave me a long kiss on my cheek. Mr.Brooks chuckled and waved us goodbye as I drove off.

"Your quite happy and perky this morning "

she laughed as she applied some powder to her face

"Girl I haven't seen you since last Friday musnt I be happy?"

I smiled.

"So what happened to Shaina and Lesley? "

she sighed

"They good but they don't roll like how we do."

Shaina and Lesley we're the other 2 girls that completed our crew. Shaina was thick, with a caramel complexion, with wide brown eyes, brunette hair, full lips and had a thick American accent she also had a killer smile that'll warm your heart. And now Lesley, she and Alaina always had arguments petty ones at that. Lesley was slim built, with blonde hair, she was the only blonde in our crew. She had a crush on me from we we're kids but Lesley was often disgusting and she was a player so I turned her offer down. She has hazel eyes and a crooked smile her boyfriend Leon secretly had a crush on Shaina but only Alaina and I knew. I pulled up to West High School's parking lot. Alaina unbuckled her seat belt and so did I as we got out of the car I heard a shouting,

"Risssaaaa!! "

I turned around to be body slammed in my car by Shaina, Alaina then dragged Shaina off,

"Okay okay, that's enough now." She frowned.

"Girl I missed you so much " screamed Shaina as she let go.

I smiled "I missed u too, so where is Les?"

"She at the caf with Leon"
