You dance?
I hear someone walk into my room and I groan. My mom got me my own hotel room since there was only one bed in room my parents were staying at.
"Honey? You need to get up. I know you had a rough day yesterday and I'm sorry but you do have your first day of school today." My mom said shaking me awake. Since the time difference was so drastic, I wasn't even tired when it was time for bed. I finally fell asleep an hour ago.
"Come on." I mumble forcing myself out of bed. I looked at my uniform laid out. It was a simple navy plaid skirt that looked like it ended a little above the knee. There was navy blue sweater with the school logo on the right side and a white polo. There was also navy blue knee high socks and my black Chuck Taylor's on the floor.
I took a quick shower and dried my hair with the hotel hair dryer which was surprisingly very hard.
I end up curling my short hair and pulling the top into a ponytail and letting the rest down. So it was a half up and half down. I literally do this hair style everyday. I apply little to no makeup. Just my favorite strawberry lipgloss, mascara, and very light pink eyeshadow to match my hair.
Once I'm happy with my appearance, I change into my uniform.
I leave my room and make my way to the bus station. I do have a drivers license but I don't think I can use it here. I don't have a car either.
Once I get on the bus, I put my headphones in and play my J. Cole playlist. What? He's a good rapper and his rhymes are amazing. He's a favorite rapper by far.
Rap isn't my favorite genre of music but definitely top three. My first is classical since I do dance. I'm not a ballerina but I do lyrical and hip hop. Lyrical is my main type, but I do hip hop for the heck of it.
I tap my feet to the beat and nod my head. Once I realize we are pulling up to my stop which is a block away from my new school, I get up and pay the driver.
"Thank you." I say in Korean and do a slight bow. He smiles and bows his head back. I smile and walk off the bus and begin to make my way towards the school.
With my music still in my ears, I had a little jump in step. I smile as Crooked Smile plays. It was by far my favorite J.Cole song.
I tried hard not to burst out dancing as I entered the school. I got a lot of weird stares. I don't know if it was my hair or my face but the students didn't seem to like me. I stopped walking so happily and kept my head down.
Back in America, I was always that weird girl that looked like she should be in an anime cartoon when I don't even like anime.
I tried to find my locker but everything small and confusing.
"Need help?" I hear someone say in English. I look up to see a tall, beautiful, long blacked haired girl giving me a sweet smile.
"Uh, yeah. Where's locker 638?" I ask. She gives me a nod and starts to walk and I follow her. We go up a pair a stairs and went into a separate pair of hallways.
"This is the senior wing. I take it your a senior?" The girl asked.
"Yes, I'm Gwen." I say as we come to a certain locker at the end of the set of lockers. The lockers were long and narrow.
"I'm Hana Kim." The girl, Hana, said. Than, oddly familiar girls screaming echoed through the halls.
"Oh! Oh! They're here!" Hana squealed. I open my locker and shove my backpack in it, which was also in the carry on.
