I really suck at these kind of before-chapter messages, so enjoy and excuse any mistakes :)
"Della! Wake up!" I groaned and put my pillow over my head.
"No." I said stubbornly. The pillow was ripped from my grip to see Calvin looking down at me with a slight smile. I got a slight flutter but immediately flattened it.
He's getting married today.
"Get up sleepy, Amy sent me over to make sure you're up." He said with a slight twinkle in his eyes.
"shouldn't you be getting ready, Mr. Collins?" I retorted grumpily, sitting up.
He scoffed. "She's the one changing her last name!" He said childishly.
"Good luck getting her to do that." I said with a slight chuckle, imagining the argument. "I'm gonna get ready," I said sleepily and yawned. He nodded and briskly walked out the door.
I rolled my eyes and pulled the blanket off me. I looked at the pale pink dress hanging on the door handle. I smiled to myself and I retrieved it from its hook.
I quickly changed into it and placed a chair in front of my bathroom mirror. I rarely used makeup, but I decided that today was a good opportunity to practice a bit. I ended up with a light layer of foundation and nude lip. I quickly brushed my hair, already wavy from braids and pinned a part back with a bobbypin.
I pulled out my phone and texted Amy.
-Hola~! So you're gonna be Mrs. Varela in a few hours? I'll be over in 10-
I smiled when a chime came just s few seconds after I sent it.
-Hiya, and hell yeah, I'm so ready. Alright, I'll see you then-
I sighed before grabbed some black heels and a bag with my headphones, charger, and wallet. I locked my apartment door behind me, unlocking my car from my front steps.
My feet lightly tapped on the cement, the cold morning air hitting me right in the cheeks. I shivered as the cold grass got between my toes, and I opened the car door. I slid into the drivers seat, starting the car.

"Hey lovebirds!" I gushed as I walked through the open door of their apartment."Hey there, nice to see you again." Calvin said, sipping some orange juice. I narrowed my eyes at his outfit. It was the same as when he came to wake me, a band t-shirt and some jeans.
"Why aren't you changed?" I scolded.
He wrinkled his nose. "It's really hot in my suit. Plus, I'll get changed in an hour or so."
"Your wedding is in an hour or so." I said flatly and he sighed. "But-"
"No buts. Go."
"Alright, mother, I'll go get changed."
"Hey guys." Amy came in with a beaming smile, a robe tied loosely over a t-shirt and pajama shorts.
"You're not changed either!? Jesus Christ, you're both getting married today dammit!" I said and they looked at each other, each with flushed cheeks and a pleased smile. A pang of jealousy hit me but I ignored it as I grabbed Amy's wrist and dragged her into their bedroom.
"You are going to get your phone, shoes and makeup bag. Your dress and the changing room are at the hall. But we need to leave now, Amy." She took note of my strict tone and started to grab her things. Meanwhile, I went back into the kitchen to Calvin.
