"Run down to the basement. We'll be fine, just wait and we'll come for you," "You promise?" "We promise,"
The last words your parents had said to you. You had run down to the basement, closed the door and waited like a good girl. You had heard the clangs and muffled screams, but you had hoped and you had believed in two words. Then there was silence. You had judged it to be safe so you had opened the door with your Kagune. What you saw next would haunt you for the rest of your life.
"Mum? Dad? Anyone?" You cautiously stepped out from behind the door. Then you saw the blood. The bodies. The two bodies "Mum? Dad?" And that was when your safe world was shattered beyond repair.
And so you had run. Run far away and lived on the streets, learning the skills. You met (bff/n) and you two roamed free and uninhibited. You lived together and remained friends for years, ten years to be exact. And when you had thought that you were free of your past, that you could put your head up...
Aogiri Tree attacked. Your best friend was killed (I'm sorry for killing her) and you were alone again. And that led you to where you were now. Scrubbing the floor after a particularly messy torture from one of the higher ups had decided was necessary. With another higher up's supervising you. Or more specifically Ayato Kirishima. The bane of your life. And your crush. I know, there's something wrong with me.
"Hurry up. There's not time for slacking. You missed a spot by the way." He smirked down at you. You glared at him.
"Now, now (f/n). That's no way to treat your higher up. Is it?" He taunted.
"I'm done," You tossed the rag and the wipe straight at him, and stalked out the door.
Ok. You might have been a little harsh, but he deserved it.
He always deserved it.
