Marie burst out of her house, excited to receive her first Pokémon. All she had to do was find a girl named Bianca, then she would her her Pokémon!
"Omg! The excitement is killing me!" She skidded to a stop, and looked around. "No green hat spotted."
Marie ran around the town several times looking in all the houses, the school, and the Pokémon Center. Bianca was nowhere to be found.
She sighed and sat on the ground. Maybe it was a mistake, She thought to herself. Suddenly she got an idea and she jumped up and ran to the Aurora Lookout Point. Soon, Marie got to the top and sure enough, saw a big green hat waiting for her.
"There you are!" Bianca said. "I've been looking all over for you! But every time I saw you, you ran the other way and every time I asked if anybody had seen you, they said I had just missed you and that you were looking for me!"
Marie blushed embarrassed. "S-sorry..."
Bianca shook her head and laughed. "No worries. So... Are you ready to pick your Pokémon?"
Marie jumped up and down with excitement. "Yes! Yes! Yes!"
Bianca laughed and held out a capsule of three pokéballs. She pointed at the first one. "Okay, this one is Snivy the grass snake Pokémon," She pointed to the middle, "This one is Tepig the fire pig Pokémon," she pointed to the last one, "And last but not least Oshawott the....I forgot what he was heh heh. Anyway which one do you want?"
Marie thought over my choices. Well... if I chose Oshawott I wouldn't have to search for a water type, if I chose Snivy then I wouldn't have to find a quick Pokémon, but Tepig is really cute! Marie thought.
"I choose....Tepig!" She squealed. She picked up the pokéball and tossed it into the air. "Tepig! Come on out!"
The pokéball opened and a sliver of shinning light came out. The light reached the ground and formed the shape of a pig. Soon a Tepig was standing in front of me.
"Tepig!" it said, happily.
Marie shrieked and squeezed the Tepig in a hug. "My first Pokémon! My first Pokémon!"
Tepig didn't struggle, it just let it happen. It looked up at her as she set it back on the ground. Marie smiled at it and it smiled back.
"I guess that settles it!" Bianca chirped. "You guys are perfect matches! Your mom was right to send you one! She knew you'd want a Tepig so she swapped out the Tepig with one of her special ones. I wonder what's so special about it. She-"
Marie tuned out from Bianca's constant talking and focused on Tepig. All this talk about her mom was getting her down. Tepig came up to her and put it's hoof on her foot.
"Quite annoying isn't she?" it said. She nodded. "Interesting, your aware of this ability?"
She nodded remembering the first time a Pokémon talked to her. Melloetta, she said she would come back to her when it was time, and she knew everything.
"Ah. So your key Pokémon is Melloetta?" Tepig asked.
"Yeah I loved Melloetta. She was my best friend." Marie said sadly.
"What are you talking about?" Bianca asked.
I must've tuned in. I still can't control that. Marie thought to Tepig.
"Uh nothing, I was talking to myself. Well it's getting late. I guess I should go. Bye Bianca thanks for Tepig!" Marie scooped up Tepig and ran home. "That was too close."
Marie ran inside and locked herself in her room. She breathed a sigh of relief. Safe for now. She put Tepig on her bed and checked her flyer of The Great Unova.
Tomorrow Tepig. We leave for Unova. Marie thought to Tepig.
Tepig looked at her and nodded its head, then laid down. The plan was set, only one thing left to do.
"Tepig?" Marie asked, it lifted it's head. "It's okay if I call you Tep right?"
Tep nodded.
