What I see is a world drowning in the tears of the mourning. A world with more hate than love, and where the ember of hope burns faintly.... So much sorrow and pain.... Yet those with eyes refuse to see.... This world.... This world that a mere youth sees.... I see the glimmer of greed within the hearts of man, and the yellow glow of fear within their minds. It is a blight that is slowly growing, yet goes ignored.... What I see is a world were the ones who notice these things, are quickly swallowed up by the chaos, and destroy themselves because they feel that they can do nothing to change things. But I also see the rare random acts of kindness, often by those who have so little to offer. I see the beauty that comes with the tears that are shed, because after the rain comes the rainbow..... And after the sorrow, comes the joy. I see the love two hearts share as a young couple pledge themselves to each other. I see the embers of hope within each soul, waiting to be lit once more....

My First Writing
PoetryWhat I See was not something I had planned on writing. Rather, it is the result of me simply typing the first thing that came to my heart. It is a small semi-poetic writing that speaks of what I see in this world, hence its name. I hope you enjoy.
