Plastic, death stored in a well worn bottle of human convention

Nets, death all tied up by human invention

Places all gunked up because we don’t care,

Because it’s not worth it,

Because it doesn’t matter.

Who cares if seals end up unable to swim because they thought

Our grocery bags made good capes.

Who cares if birds become plastic bottle cap by bottle cap?

Who cares as long as we get what we want

as long as our houses are clean.

Well Nature does.

Her house is never clean

Her family is leaving

And Nature is being left behind.
