I grabbed my softball equipment off the ground and stuffed it into my bag. I slung my bag over my shoulder and headed towards Sandra.

"Do you want some water?" I asked before pulling two fairly warm bottles of water out of my bag. She nodded her head. I handed her a bottle before opening mine. I took a drink before placing my bottle back in my bag.

"Thanks for inviting me today. I had forgotten how good it felt to be on the field." She was still gathering up her equipment.

About a year ago Sandra broke her right leg, so she was forced to drop out for a while. She could have played this season but she decided to sit out. In the spring she is supposed to join again.

We stood in the parking lot waiting for Jace to get there. It was hot outside but not hot enough you were just pouring down sweat. There was a breeze which felt really good on our warm faces. All the other players were piling into cars with their parents and heading home.

A few minutes after the last car left Jace's black Lexus pulled into the parking lot. I let Sandra sit in the back because we would be dropping her off on our way home. Air conditioners are a life saver!

"How was practice?" Jace asked. I wasn't looking at him but I could tell he was smiling.

"It was good." I replied.

I turned back to see Sandra on her phone. What a surprise. Sandra is also a really shy person. She doesn't talk much in front of Jace.

"One cup of ramen for you and one for me." Jace handed me the warm cup of noodles.

"Thanks." I couldn't wait to stuff my face with the ramen. I was so hungry I haven't eaten anything since before softball practice. Jace just so kindly made me some noodles.

I took a bite of the noodles, half way through chewing I notice that Jace was staring at me.

My eyes met his. "Uhh, Jace why are you staring at me?" I asked awkwardly.

"Well to be honest I was expecting you to take humongous bites, but I see that your trying to eat like a girl. It's okay you can eat how you normally do, I see it at dinner everyday." He readjusted himself on my bed.

I felt my face warm up. "I do not stuff my face, nor do I eat big bites. Okay, maybe sometimes but definitely not everyday."

"Okay princess," Jace said continuing to eat his noodles.

"I'm not a princess." I muttered under my breath. He looked up at me and smiled then turned his attention back to his food.

The last bite of noodles was sitting in the bottom of the cup. Oh I wish it hadn't come to an end so soon. I let out a sigh than ate the last bite.

"Are you done?" I asked Jace.

"Yeah. Want me to take them to the kitchen?"

"No I will. I owe you since you made it for me." I reached for his cup. I got off of my bed and headed downstairs leaving Jace in my room.

The house was awfully quiet because no one was home except for me and Jace. I set the forks in the sink and threw the cups in the trash.

"That was a perfect second date," I turned around to see Jace facing me. "I can't wait for the third one."

"Uhh, yeah me too. You know what I'm kinda tired, I think I'm going to go take a nap."

"Okay, sweet dreams princess." Jace bent down slightly and kissed me on the cheek.
