Winter is Coming!

Mei's POV

Rei-nii and I were walking home from work today. It has been a while since we have been able to do this due to the fact that the places we worked were often far away from each other. Today was one of those rare days where we work in the same studio. I was so happy. We walked down the road, and Rei-nii had his arm around me. It was becoming colder outside and winter was nearing. I couldn't wait! I used to love playing in the snow when I was younger. We were walking down the road and I saw this huge and adorable teddy bear. It was holding a heart saying, "I will love you forever." It was beautiful. I didn't stop to look at it though, because we had to get back to the Master Course.

"Rei-nii, guess what?" I asked.

"What is it Mei-Mei?" Rei-nii questioned.

"It's almost time for Christmas," I shouted with joy.

"Yes! I can't wait for Christmas, we haven't spent it together ever since..." he trailed off,

"Ever since mom died," I finished sadly. It was true, every year after mom died we never had a proper family Christmas before.

"It's going to be different this year, right?" Rei-nii exclaimed. "We will be able to celebrate it together!"

I nodded smiling. "I can't wait!" We arrived at the Master Course and separated. I wanted to go compose some new music, while Rei-nii went to go and practice some choreography with Quartet Night.

After an hour of composing, I decided to go out and buy some Christmas presents for everyone. We weren't eating dinner together tonight, because some of us had to stay out late for work today. I walked into town and went into the little shops and began looking. For Haruka, I found this beautiful pearly necklace with a charm that said, "Music brings life and happiness." I thought it was perfect for her. For Starish, I decided to get them matching charm bracelets. Each had a charm of a music note with their color on it. Tokiya had purple, Masato had blue, Ren had orange, Syo had pink, Natsuki had yellow, Cecil had green, and Ittoki had red. Also there was another charm on there with animal representations of each of them. (A/N: I'll let you readers decide what you think would fit them best.)

For Quartet Night, I had also gotten them matching charm bracelets like Starish. I also got Rei-nii a new hat as well. I really hoped they liked them. I doubt they would wear the bracelets though, considering they were guys. I headed back to the dorm.

When I got back, everyone was home from work and chatting in the main room. I put my bags away in my room and went into the main room.

"What are you guys talking about?" I asked.

"Shining says that we are throwing a Christmas Party," Mikaze-senpai answered.

"Doesn't it sound like fun, Mei-Mei?!?" Rei-nii exclaimed, bouncing up and down in his seat. I nodded. I can't wait to be able to get to spend Christmas with my bestest friends in the whole world.
