That One Girl

One dance ~ Day 3

Extra long chapter for you guys!
Today was the day.
The fall formal.
She ran into Shelby's room and woke her up.
"Shub.... Shub.... Get up! Dance day!"
"Wha? Oh yay!"
They jumped up and ran downstairs.
No one.
They made waffles and set them on the counter.
Still no one. Shelby sighed.
"Ok. I'll wake up Ross if you take Max. Adam slept over at his gfs last night, so it's just them."
Kota blushed a bit then nodded.
She walked up stairs.

Meanwhile, Ross peeked out from behind the couch.
"Operation #MaKota is in place Agent shed."
Shelby rubbed her hands together evilly.
"Good job Agent Douglas."

Upstairs...
Kota tiptoed into Max's room. It smelled like Max and cheese. She quietly walked to his bed.
"Max..... Max. Max. MAX."
He jolted up and looked around.
When he saw her, he looked relieved.
"Ok, it's you. I thought it was Adam..."
"It's fine, my roommates did that and then they went on vacation and never came back so..."
Max nodded and got up. She walked out of the room.
She trotted down the stairs (that was weird writing) and stood at the door waiting for her friends.
They eventually came.
They walked, because why not.
Shelby and Ross ran ahead, while Max and Kota walked behind.
She looked at Ross and Shelby and saw Kota and Cory.
Running, playfully shoving eachother.
Her eyes began to well, so she put her head down and walked.
"You miss him, don't you."
She looked up to see Max looking at her.
"Yeah, I see us in Ross and Shelby. When they're being all sibling-like,you know?"
"Yeah."
When they reached the school, they formed a horizontal line.
But this time, they didn't get pulled away. The line is like this,
Kota-Max-Ross-Adam-Shelby
Someone tripped Shelby and Kota, then pulled them away.
It was a group of boys.
"Hey Kota, bend over!"
"Shelby, I hurt myself. Can you make my boo boo better?" He pointed to his crotch.
They backed up slowly until they hit a wall.
They closed the if eyes and just hoped for the best.
They heard running footsteps all of a sudden.
The hall felt empty.
More footsteps, except these were jogging.
They just balled up in fear, incase the boys are back. (Plays in the background)
It wasn't them, though. It was the squad guys!
They opened their eyes and gasped.
Ross and Max helped them up.
They both checked if the girls were hurt.
They were fine.

:After school:

They were walking back home when Kota decided this was the best time.
"Hey Max, are you going with anyone to the dance?"
"Yeah, I was planning to ask someone." He said smiling.
"You must really like that girl."
"Yes I do, and she knows it. So, do you wanna go to the dance with me?"
"Yeah sure!"
Max pulled a necklace from his pocket.
He put it around her neck.
They both smiled and blushed.
They raced home and Shelby and Kota got ready.
