Chapter 3 - Levi

Levi and I had walked all the way to his home in a comfortable silence and I watched as he fumbled for his key to get the door open. He cursed lightly upon selecting the wrong key and his gray eyes found mine and his lips twitched upwards into a small smile.

"You'd think after living here for so long, I'd know which key it is."

He looked back at me to see if he had gotten some sort of response, but I just continued peering into my bag at the broken camera pieces. He finally managed to open the door and kicked off his shoes. He took the bag from me and set it aside, before ushering me into the kitchen.

He moved quickly, taking out a few bottles of different painkillers and pouring a glass of water. He set them on the counter and offered me a seat on one of the stools. I obliged, and swallowed the pills with the glass of water.

"So what exactly happened, Eren?" Levi asked, shifting his weight onto one leg and crossing his arms.

After I had finished the story, Levi had to pour me some more water because I had started to cry again.

"Don't worry Eren...we'll manage." He examined the broken parts of the camera and sighed softly before looking at me again.

"Eren...could I take a picture of you?" Levi asked, a hint of a blush evident on his cheeks.

"S-Sure." I sniffled and finished the glass of water.

The snap of the camera shutter was heard and Levi stared at the picture as if in a trance.

Beautiful vulnerability...

He made me some hot chocolate and invited me to lay on his couch. We ended up under a blanket watching some cliché love drama in which I fell asleep.

When it had become late, Levi shook me awake gently and told me that he would keep the shattered camera bits for the time being.

"Get some rest. I'll see you tomorrow to work on our project. Park sound okay?"

"Yeah it sounds good." I smiled for the first time since coming to Levi's. I turned to leave but embraced the Levi suddenly.

"Thank you for everything today Levi."

"Of course." Levi returned the hug and then pulled away with the ghost of a smile.

"Goodnight Levi."

"Goodnight Eren."
