I knew it was her, from the moment I laid my eyes on her. She was walking towards me, long auburn hair flowing free, wearing man pants and a dirty white man shirt  which was a size to big for her even though it suited her. Other women might have felt scandaled at that scene. I on the other hand was mesmorised. I knew who she was, and I needed her. I picked up my skirts and walked towards her. I stopped dead straight in front of her and smiled, whilst she took the moment to put her hand to rest on the hilt of her sword.

"May I help you?" she asked.

"Indeed you may." I smiled back. She looked uncertain, perhaps I had alerted her attention too much.

"I have heard so much about you and your work."  I said keeping the eye contact. She had the bluest eyes I had ever seen, and they only made me more giddy inside. She lifted a brow and spoke softly,

"Accusasions more likely, what of it?"

"I wish to assist you in overthrowing the crown." I could not help but show my excitment, but still I spoke soflty. By the look in her eyes, I knew she understood. Not everyone takes a liking to a king who's selfish acts hurt the innocent. The assasin took a moment to reply, probably wondering whata young wench as I could do to help. She looked around and decided."Perhaps we should meet somewhere quiet. Somewhere you know well." Her voice tempting the offerI could not refuse. "Why of course. Meet me at the "Old Oak Barn Inn" tonight. Ask for Sally." I grinned.

"Very well, see you then."

I stepped out of her way and watched her walk down the dirty street and into a hidden ally. I sought the opportunity to follow her. I sneeked behind the wall to see what I knew I would find. She stood there arms clenched around a poor young man. His neck was bare and her teeth shone in the darkness. She sensed me and I turned around the wall. I did what I must. After I made sure that no one was watching, I used my magic, twisted my wrist, and changed my form, into what one might usually find in an ally way. A black cat.

When I walked down the ally way, she had already finished feeding, and was dumping the body into one large forgotton barrel. I stopped by her feet and looked up and meowed. She looked down at meintimidatly and shooed me away. I only stayed and purred, brushing my head against her knee. She hissed loudly at me and walked away. I only looked straight at her and crept behind her.

The assasin stoped in front of a tatterd wooden door. Typical of her to rest in such a place. She knew I was following her, but she slamed the door in my face. No need to worry, I changed back into my human form crouched behind the door. I tried to peer through the grimy window, but it was futile. Toodark to see anything. So i changed into a tiny black mouse, found a hole and crawled through.

When I reached the other side I saw only what I expected. A one room house with one bearly lit hearth, a blakend table and a chair, to which my assasin was seated, scribiling onto a peice of parchment. I only made a few paces towards the back of her chair when she raised her head, looked around and rolled the parchment into a small brown chest, locked it and hid the key in her boot. I sat beside the foot of her chair waiting for the giant to do her next move. She opened up a thick book and began to read. I  turned into a black ant as quietly as possible. Making the giant even more huge. I began to climb the mammoth chair and finally reached her arm.

I recocnised the book in a heartbeat. But what is it doing at her? I crawled down her arm and onto the page she was reading to make out the words. She must have seen me, for I felt her raise the book. I ran away as fast as an ant can run onto the table. She let go of a sigh and for the first time i wonderd what it would be like to be her, not so differnt from my life I'm almost certain. I got what  I came for.

I crawled down the table, as soon as i reached the ground, I turned into a mouse again and ran

towards my exit. Once outside, I became a crow, and flew.
