Rarity rushed around her boutique, triple-checking for any stains or dust. She wanted the carousel boutique to be clean for this occasion. Coco Pommel, who had now moved to Canterlot, was visiting for the weekend to help her with a busy list of dresses she had to make! "It's just some help making dresses, I should calm down!" She reassured her flustered self, her usually perfectly groomed purple mane in a mess from all her work on the dresses and cleaning from the day. She sighed as she sat down on her couch after a long day of work, content on her cleaning. "Now I better have a shower and do my mane, I look like a mess!" She exclaimed as she looked in her mirror, shocked at the state of herself. As she headed towards the shower, she heard a ring at her door. She sighed and walked towards the door, putting on a large summer hat to cover her tangled mane. "Welcome to Carousel Boutique darling, how may I-" She froze as she saw who stood there. It was Coco Pommel, her shiny turquoise mane neatly done and a saddlebag put comfily over her side. "Coco?! Y-you're early! What a surprise!" Rarity laughed awkwardly, not expecting Coco until the next day. "Sorry I'm early, m-my train over here was actually for today, sorry.." She said, ashamed. Rarity felt sympathy for the pale yellow mare as she looked up apologetically at her. "It's alright darling, I just wasn't ready yet!" She reassured her, leading Coco through the door with her. "I'll just go fix my hair and you can make yourself comfortable!" She said to Coco as she rushed into her room to fix her mane.
Coco put down her saddlebag and left it on the couch, getting up to look around the place before Rarity got back. She went into Rarity's workroom and admired her work on the dresses so far. One particularly caught her eye, a perfectly white, flowing dress that sat neatly finished on one of Rarity's mannequins, a velvety purple bow tied around the middle. Coco blushed, the white fabric reminding her of Rarity's soft white fur. Her pale cheeks turned bright red as she thought of Rarity. She shook her head, trying to clear her mind of that thought. Even though she loved Rarity, she was much too shy and anxious to tell her. Ever since she met Rarity, she'd always had a crush on her for how generous and kind she was, and how much care she showed for Coco, even if it was only platonic. "I'm done my mane darling, you can unpack your bags upstairs now!" Rarity called out as she came down the stairs, her mane back to it's usual glamorous self. "T-thank you Rarity, I'll come up now..!" Coco replied embarrased, still blushing. She trotted up the stairs after grabbing her saddlebag and put down her small bag on a bed Rarity had put on the floor. She left it slightly open and lay it there, leaving to go be with Rarity downstairs in her workroom and help her out with the work for the day. It was the least she could do after coming a day early before Rarity was ready.
