Ch. 1 The Start of a Journey

"Uggggh!" I groaned trying to wake Summer up. I swear she is harder to wake up than a rock! " Wake up Summer! Today is the day we start our journey. We won't get a starter if we're late." " I'm up! I'm up!" Summer bolted into a sitting position. " Okay now that your up I'm getting ready." I headed over to the bathroom before she could respond.  I looked in the mirror and sighed, I looked like a mess as usual.
My dark purple hair was a tangled mess and my purple eyes were cloudy with sleep. I brushed out my hair and put it into a ponytail with a white ribbon.  I slipped my navy nightgown over my head and tugged on black tights and a white tunic top.(Outfit and hair at the top)
"I'm done, you can get ready now." I said stepping out of the bathroom. "Ok Lav." She replied. Lav is a nick name Summer came up for me, my full name is Lavender. To busy my self I talked to Kaylee and Sarila, our Eevee's. Yes I can talk to Pokemon deal with it!
"Kaylee, Sarila I don't know what starter to pick." I confessed. ~You can choose there, it doesn't matter right now.~ responded Kaylee, always the responsible one. ~You should pick totodile, just like Silver the Dex-holder.~ Sarila teased me.
My face flushed red. "I don't have a crush on Silver!" I yelled a bit too loud. "Your red face says otherwise." Summer teased me coming out of the bathroom. She was wearing a pink flutter sleeved loose shirt and white shorts. She looked very pretty with a choker with a bell on it and her brown hair and green eyes. "It's not funny." I pouted. I still cant believe their still teasing me. ~Lets go!~ Sarila called.
We walked out of our cottage and started walking through the woods.
A couple bellsprouts popped out of them but Kaylee and Sarila defeated them. We finally reached New Bark town where Prof. Elm's lab was located.
"We're finally here." Summer groaned. ~It wasn't that far.~ Sarila pointed out. I stifled a laugh, Summer is just a wimp. "Come on or we're going to be late." I shouted, skidding to a stop in front of the lab. At that moment Prof. Elm walked out of the lab.
"Oh good your here." The professor said when he noticed us. "Come in." We walked in and were greeted by cindaquil and chikorita arguing. ~One of them is obviously going to pick me.~ The chikorita bragged. ~ Please stop fighting~ A totodile whimpered from behind  a counter. "Totodile,Chikorita,Cindaquil, please come here" The prof called. The said Pokemon came bounding over. ~I want the purple haired one~ Chikorita smirked or as much as she can. "I pick Cindaquil." Summer picked the feisty one. "I'll pick Totodile."
"Ok, here is a pokedex to record your travels." Professor Elm handed us the pokedexs. "Let's go!" I shouted running out of the lab and jumping into the air.
