This story was born out of desperation and darkness. I had created some characters in the middle of the night that I wished were there for me, and decided that they deserved their own story. And is it the story they deserve? No, of course not.
But it is a story I needed to tell.
I hope you enjoy my first ever attempt at a short story, and maybe learn something about me or yourself in the process. A fair warning to those easily triggered by talk of death, suicide and mental illness.
Please comment, both hate and love. To me, a loud room of hate will always be better than one with silence.
"Everything previously moving with the grain is now against-- you are irritable, angry, frightened, uncontrollable, and enmeshed totally in the blackest caves of the mind. You never knew those caves were there. It will never end, for madness carves its own reality." - Kay Redfield Jamison, An Unquiet Mind: A Memoir of Moods and Madness
