Austin's P.O.V.-
Before I could ask Natalie what she meant, my phone started to ring. I sighed and answered without checking who it was.
"Hello?"
"Austin!" Julia's voice shrieked, "Where are you?!"
I checked the time and saw I was 45 minutes late to pick her up from work. "Shit, sorry Julia! I'll be there soon." I hung up and looked back down at Natalie who still sat on the floor with her eyes closed.
"I have to go pick up Julia." I told her in a hurry. "Will you be okay?" She nodded without opening her eyes and said, "See you later."
I got up and headed down the stairs, out the door and into my car. As I was driving, I kept thinking about how beautiful Natalie is.
Natalie's P.O.V.-
I stayed on the bathroom floor for a few more minutes, then decided to get up and take a shower. I let the hot water wash over me, as I thought about Julia and Austin. It made me angry, yet I didn't like Austin like that anymore. Did I?
I got out of the shower and checked my phone to see a missed call from my father. Deciding to call him back, I dialed his number and sat on my bed.
"Hullo?" His gruff voice answered.
"Hey dad."
"Natalie! Glad you called me back. Did your flight go okay? How's Wisconsin? Have you been to the hospital yet?" He peppered me with questions.
I laughed, "My flight was fine. I got stuck between two obese women who snored though. Wisconsin's good, still cold obviously. And no, mom and I are going to the hospital tomorrow, I think, to get me checked out."
"Okay, well I'm glad to hear everything's going smoothly. I'm already lonely here." He said sadly.
"You just have to finish out this year, dad, and then I'm going to college down there." I told him.
"I know, I know." He said, and I could almost hear the smile in his voice. "Well, I'll let you go. You probably have a lot of catching up to do around there. Love you and let me know how tomorrow goes."
"I will, love you too dad." I hung up.
"Natalie!" A voice called from downstairs. My mother. I bounded down the steps to see her standing there was an armful of groceries. "Hey sweetie, could you go unload the rest of the car?" She asked.
"There's more?" I laughed and walked out the door to retrieve them. When I came inside, my mother thanked me and then said, "Your appointment is and noon tomorrow."
"Okay." I said. "What do you think it is?" I asked her.
"I still think you must have hit it on something." She said, shaking her head.
"That's impossible. I've had this bump for at least a month." I inspected the inside of my arm. "And I don't even remember hitting it on anything."
She pursed her lips, and closed her eyes. "Well, we'll find out tomorrow, won't we? Now, help me put these groceries away.
