~Heathens~

•Nellie's P.O.V•

"Let's move it, get to class heathens!" the teacher yelled as the bell rings through out the school. I push my way through the crowds until I reach my math class.
"Yo Nellie, saved you a seat over here." I hear Caitlyn from the back of the room. I walk over there and sit down next to her thanking her for the seat. I look around and see no math teacher. Guess she must be late, again.
"Did you guys do the homework?" Javier says turning around to us.
"Yeah, why you didn't do it again."I say look at him.
"Yes, now can I copy so I don't get in trouble."he says
"You know me, what do I get for it?"I say raising an eyebrow at him.
"Umm... I'll buy you food, I'll even bring it to you."he says making me think for a moment.
"You sir have a deal" I say as I hand him my homework and he quickly starts copying it. I laugh as I see him hurry.
"How can you still talk to him?"Ashley says as she sits in the seat next to me making all the seats taken on our row.
"Kill them with kindness."I say as I watch him give the work back to me and start talking to his "friends".
"Did you see that video where that cop shot that man that wouldn't go down even with 50 bullets in him?" Caitlyn ask in excitement.
"Yeah, stupid cops faking shit now."Ashley says.
"I think it was a zombie in that video because 'it' didn't go down until it got shot in the head"I say putting air quotients around 'it'.
"Don't be stupid Nellie, you know the zombie apocalypse is never going to happen, and even if it did none of us would survive"Ashley says making me roll my eyes.
"That's what I was thinking Nellie" Caitlyn says ignoring Ashley's comment.
"I mean maybe the government has been hiding it and now the virus is out somehow."I say getting more curious about the video.
"Alright class Ms.glory isn't here today she has a virus so I will be your teacher I'm Mrs.h" a strange looking blonde lady says as she walks in with a fucking briefcase, who brings those to school what the fuck?
"Already pass up the homework and then turn your books to page 86." Mrs.H says as she sits down at the desk staring at her phone.

•Time Skip to lunch•

I rush to the tables outside and I sit down at one as I wait for my gang. I eat a little before Caitlyn shows up with Ashley. After them Michael, Addison, and destiny show up leaving no seats of the round table.
"You gotta admit it, that video didn't look fake." Caitlyn says making Ashley roll her eyes and start playing with her food not going to say anything unless asked a question.
"I agree with Caitlyn, it didn't look fake"I say putting my fingers through my hair.
"True" Michael says looking at me
"I agree too" Addison says throwing her hands up making us laugh.
"I don't, I mean it's probably another cop being a dumbass and shooting the dude for no reason" destiny says
"50 bullets were in that guy, and he didn't go down until one hit him in the head."I say doing hand gesture of a gun to my hand and then pulling the trigger.
"Okay whatever, I'm going to my class see you guys later" destiny says as she gets up with her tray and walks off.
"Yeah same see ya"Ashley says doing the same thing.
"And then there was four heathens." I say making them all giggle a bit before we went on about the video and what we would do if the zombie apocalypse actually happened.

•Home•
I watched as the kids play outside. I was doing my homework blasting Twenty one pilots heathens. I decided to take a break since I was halfway done with it. I get up and look in my door mirror and see my Burgundy hair looking decent. I go into the living room and see no one which was strange since my grandpa should be home from work. I pick up my phone and call his work they didn't answer, I call his cell phone... It went to voice mail.
"What the hell" I whisper to myself as I look outside the window and see no more kids outside playing and giggling. The streets were empty.
I look around to find the remote to the tv as I turn it on and see there was a warning repeating itself over and over again.
" warning: please stay in your houses, walking cannibals are roaming the streets please be safe and don't get bite"
I back away from the tv slowly not believing what I was hearing. My phone then starts ringing startling me and I see it was Caitlyn wanting to video chat with everyone and I was the only one that hasn't answered so I answer which made them all screamed when I answered:
"Oh my god you're okay"Caitlyn says
"Did you just hear what they said on the news"I say
"Yeah, is this it guys"Michael said
I look back at my tv and see the warning has changed.
"Run for your life. We can't help anymore. I am sorry. It's the end. May god be with you all"
I look back at them and they stared at me.
"We meet up at the school. Be careful, get everything useful. We come back to my house after we all meet up. Do. Not. Die."I say as I hang up and I run to my room and turn off my music as packed a bag with somethings to keep me safe on the way to the school.
I get my keys and lock my door leaving to go get my friends. I start the car and the radio station still worked, for now at least. I turn it to my radio station and it was playing twenty one pilots heathens.
