*Carly's POV*
"Madelyn, I really hope someone adopts us today," I said, sadness in my voice. My sister sighed and peeked out the window, looking for cars that may be pulling up. Today was adoption day, and ever since we've been here, no one has come to take us home. Mrs. Schwartz, the caretaker, called all the girls downstairs. I slid off my bed and followed Madelyn and my friends. Let's hope we find a family.
We all lined up in a row downstairs, and put the biggest smiles on our faces possible. Two couples came in, one looked like an ordinary family, and the other two looked awfully familiar. Since we had computers here and were allowed to use them, my sister and I always watched this guy named SkyDoesMinecraft. The man looked exactly like him, and the girl looked just like his girlfriend Dawn!
Anticipation washed over me as the two neared Madelyn and I. My grip tightened on Maddie's hand as they stood in front of us. "These two look awesome!" the Sky look-a-like said, and the Dawn look-a-like nodded, smiling. He waved the caretaker over and he said, "These two young ladies are our choices!" Mrs. Schwartz nodded, and took them over to sign papers. Maddie and I ran upstairs and started packing our stuff. Never in our lives had we been so excited!
When we had come back downstairs, the two were patiently waiting by the door. We hugged our friends and Mrs. Schwartz goodbye before walking outside with our new parents. Once we were in the car, we had gotten the biggest surprise yet.
