*Nevaeh's POV*
Aidan and I arrived at a park where we sat together on a bench over looking the pond.
"Do you understand the power of energy?" He asked
"I know it can be turned in a light or dark force, and then used as a weapon. Just like you told me"
He smiled "you remembered. Anyway yes, you are correct. Pick one and I'll explain more about it"
"Light energy"
"Good choice, light energy is the source of all living things. It courses through the veins of everything with a heart beat, until turned dark. Dark energy runs through creatures mortals call, evil. Light energy used correctly is more powerful than dark, but only the Heth's have learned to control it. It can be used to heal or hurt. Light energy usually takes the form of white fog or smoke, a single touch by your finger will turn it to ash and if it consumes your whole body, you will cease to exist. You will dissolve into thin air. The Heth's have found a way to forge arrows from this fog, if you are it by one of those you will have a very slow and painful death. The poison will spread from its original point and slowly kill you until it reaches your heart. The fog can also be used to heal, it can be turned into a liquid and used as a healing potion. Any questions?" He asked.
"No, I'm with you so far"
"Now dark energy on the other hand, it much like light energy takes a fog like form. It will surround you and fill you with dark thoughts it will rob you of all your senses leaving you completely helpless. It also can be forged into weapons, but only the forger can use the weapon they make. Dark energy when in weapon form, if it pierced the skin of anyone including its owner it turns them to stone very slowly. Starting from the feat creeping up until your whole body is immobilized.
Both are very lethal to each other and themselves. You with me?""Yes"
"I'm going to help you make a custom sword that can only be wielded by you" he smiled
"You ready?" He asked grabbing my hand."Yes" I said confidently
"Let's make you a light energy dagger and a dark energy sword. You've got a good balance of light and dark in you, this should work"
"Ok" I smiled
"Now do you see that slight most over the pond?"
"Yes"
"I want you to close your eyes and will it to turn into light energy"
I did as he instructed.
"Open your eyes"
I did and what I say surprised me, the thin mist was now a thick white fog slowly inching towards me.
"You know how to swim correct?"
"Yes of course but why?"
"Imagine a small dagger at the bottom of the pond, far enough down that it is difficult but close enough that it it possible. Good luck" he smiled then shoved me into the lake.
I barely avoided the fog before my instincts kicked in and I immediately held my breath and started searching for the dagger.
I looked down and saw a glittering white dagger made of pure white pearl with gold imprints on the hilt.
I snatched it up and swam back to surface.
Gasping for air I heard Aidan clapping in approval.
I turned to see the mist retreating now that I had completed my task.
I swam over and held up my prize.
"Good job" he helped me up out of the water.
Then he scrunched up his nose
"You smell like wet dog""Haha! Whatever Garlic Breath" I laughed.
"Yeah whatever Fur Face, There is one last thing you must do before the process is complete."
"Yes?" I asked curiously.
"You must slit your hand and then let the fog taste your blood off the knife" he said dead serious.
"You mean?"
"Yes"
Ok, ok this is getting weird but I do want to be able to protect myself better.
"Ok I'll do it"I saw the fog slowly inching closer and closer.
I held the dagger shakily and cut slightly into my skin. I thrust the dagger into the fog and my vision went blurry.
When I could finally see I saw that the fag was gone and my hand healed.
My dagger had a light aura around it and I could feel it's power linking to my soul.
"It is done, let's get you home" he picked me up bridal style and walked to his car.
