Prologue

his smile was soft, comforting.

just like the last one. the last one lead him into his trap with welcoming arms and slowly tore him apart, bit by bit.

could he trust this one?

he tried to push the feelings away, knowing only the horror he'd experience over and over again if he were to slip in to that trance that tortured him so. he found that they were haunting him - a good kind of haunting, he decided - but haunting nonetheless.
