"The Smiling Man"

Ever since I was 6, I have been afraid of a mirror. I say a mirror because I am only afraid of one, my mom's vanity mirror. Whenever I went into my mom's room I stayed where I couldn't see the reflection of my self. I was fine with all the other mirrors just that one mirror. When I turned 14 i still had a fear of that mirror. So I asked my mom if she knew why. My mom gave me a strange look and asked me "You don't rember?". Me confused asked her "Rember what?". She told me that a couple days before my 5 birthday I had suddenly gotten afraid of her mirror. She told me that was all she rembered. I said Thanks and then went to my room to be on my laptop. I ended up sleeping at 1 am and had a dream, no more like nightmare. I was looking down,standing in front of my mom's big squared vanity mirror. I had goose bumps and I was shaking not violently but still shaking. I tried to turn and run but I couldn't. I couldn't even Turn my head in another direction. As I'm standing I feel someone behind me their hand on my shoulder. I look up and into the mirror. Their next to me is a young man, maybe around 20. Where his eyes should be are big black holes that sunk in. He was missing his nose and he had no lips. His skin was sorta green looking, it was rotting. As was the hand the was grabbing my shoulder. When I looked in the holes of his eyes through the mirror. He smiled and gripped me tighter. I got a feeling of dread and fear. I suddenly woke up with fear. My room has a big mirror. It covers 1 whole side of my wall. My bed is in front of the mirror wall so I could see into it from where I'm laying. I look into it and realized that "The smiling man" was right next to me. He grinned bigger I stood up
hurriedly, got out of my room and ran into my mom's room. He didn't follow me, probably still in my bed smiling. After that icedent I didnt see him again. And my fear of my mom's mirror disappeared quickly. years passed, I got married and had a girl. When she Tunerd 5 she told me. "Mommy when I look into the mirror "the smiling man is there".
