Harry hated school. Why, you might ask? He had been told many-a-time that high school was the place where memories were made! Where friends were made and lost!
What friends? Harry would reply. He looked into the mirror, gripping the sink tightly, his knuckles turning white and wrinkled his nose. Look at yourself. The voice in the back of his head whispered, bitterly. You’re disgusting.
He sighed loudly, splashing water on his face and wiping it down with paper towels.
High School sucked and no one could convince him otherwise.
There were bullies, annoying teachers, annoying students, useless subjects, limited equipment, terrible food, he could on forever. But you know what Harry thought the worst thing about High School was?
Niall Horan.
It wasn’t that the blonde was mean or anything. Or that he didn’t pay Harry any mind, he waved to Harry every morning and asked if he wanted a ride back home, an offer which Harry would always refuse. It was just..
Niall was the only one keeping him there.
From his cute little laugh to his bright blue eyes, everything about that boy he adored and he hated it.

Harry sat down on the library windowsill, watching as the first years giggled and gossiped, glancing over to Louis, his friends and with them, Niall. He sat, reading his book, his hair blonder in the sun, thick rimmed glasses balanced on the bridge of his nose and a small smile on his face. Liam was sat next to him, whispering in his ear, glancing up at Harry. Every so often Niall would blush and bury his face in his book, before slapping Liam playfully on the shoulder.
Harry let out a puff of air, clenching his fists and taking a bite into his sandwich. Stupid Horan. He thought bitterly. Suddenly Niall looked up at the library window and Harry panicked, falling off the small ledge he had been sat on with a loud thud. The librarian turned and shushed him, he rolled his eyes, cautiously peeking back up at the window but Niall was gone. Liam and Louis were laughing loudly, Zayn smirking up at him like nobody’s business but the one fact that still stuck in his brain was that Niall was gone. He’d been caught watching a boy in the year above him and five minutes later that boy was gone. A very popular boy, he might add. He was a goner.
What little reputation he had would vanish. He would no longer be the introvert with no friends that everyone steered clear of, no, he’d be the idiot gay boy who watched the Niall Horan from the window in the library. He groaned, banging his head against the glass in annoyance. He heard panting behind him and spun around to face a red-faced Niall, he frowned. “Wanted… To… See if… You were okay.” He breathed, holding his side and wincing, Harry blushed.
“I’m fine, you can go.” He turned his back on Niall, facing the window, biting his lip. Niall sighed.
“Oh. Right. Okay, um I’ll just go. Sorry.” He muttered, straightening up. Harry dug his teeth into his bottom lip, harshly, he heard Niall’s footsteps getting farther and farther away.
