The Accident

Mei's POV

I woke up with start. It is Christmas day! I quickly got ready and ran down the stairs. Tonight, Starish was hosting a small Christmas party. Quartet Night, Haruka, and I have been invited. Also one of our old friends from school as well. I couldn't wait until the party.

Even though it was Christmas day I still had work to do today. I am supposed to be filming a Christmas special today. I get to dress up in cute Christmas outfits and sing American Christmas songs! I practiced them so much that it could sound like an actual American singing it. I was really excited. Rei-nii and the rest of QN had to work today as well. So does Haruka. Starish is staying here at the Master Course to get ready for the party.

I head out to the studio. It was really cold outside. It wasn't snowing just yet, but I hope it will snow when the party starts. I would love to play in the snow again. Just like old times. Heck, I'm not even that old yet! I'm starting to sound like an old grandma. I'm only 13 years old!

-Time Skip to after the filming-

I finished the filming and it was time to head back to the Master Course. On my way back, it started to snow. I started was so happy!

"Yay! Snow!" I cried. I spun around happily, catching snow in my mouth. It was so pretty outside when it was snowing. I went to the playground nearby and began playing in the snow by myself. Soon, a couple of kids started to join me in the snow. I played with the kids until I looked at my watch. It was 6:55! I promised that I would be back by 7. I said goodbye to the children and started running all the way back to the Master Course. I was running so fast that I could barely see where I was going. Then, I felt my feet slip on something. I went down really quickly and then I felt a sharp pain in my head. I blacked out.

3rd Person POV

Quartet Night was walking home from their tiring day of work. They quietly walked home, because they really didn't have anything to say to each other. No one was arguing for once, and Reiji was being really quiet. As they were walking something caught their attention. There was a crowd of people surrounding an ambulance. They all looked at each other and decided to go check out the scene. When they got there Reiji went up to one of the citizens and asked, "What happened?"

The man replied, "There was a girl who was running on the sidewalk and slipped on a layer of ice. She had hit her head on a nearby bench and blacked out." They looked over to the medics carrying the young girl and Reiji recognized her instantly. It was Mei! He quickly ran to the ambulance and told the medics that that was his little sister and the ambulance drove off, leaving the other three members of Quartet Night standing there in the winter snow. They were silent, but they were all still worried. Not sure what to do, they walked back to the Master Course to inform the others of the news of their fellow coworker and friend. What was Christmas day coming to.
