* A couple of weeks pass*

I haven't seen Emma in a while, I have planned today to see her. I'm surprising her with a visit to Mrs. Brown's house. I go down for a quick breakfast and then I go, asking the stable hand to get the carriage ready.

When the carriage is ready I tell him the directions to Mrs. Brown's house. The carriage pulls up to her house. There was a lot of people standing outside and there were wearing black. I get out of the carriage and I go up to a men.

"Sir, what has happened?" I ask him.

"You haven't heard, Mrs. Brown passed away in her sleep a couple of weeks ago," He says with a sigh.

I walk into the house and I look around for Emma. I see her sitting on the couch crying. I suddenly feel guilt run through my body. That I haven't tried harder to come and see her. I walk up to her and I sit down. Emma looks up at me and she turns, hugging me. I hold her has she cries into my shoulder.

"I'm so sorry, I should have came and seen you earlier. I got caught up in my father's business," I tell her softly.

"There's nothing you could have done," Emma says softly.

"I could have helped you with her funeral," I say hugging her tightly not wanting to let her go. I feel her calm down slowly.

"So where are you going now?" I ask her since.

"Well apparently Mrs. Brown left me the house to take over and her fortune," Emma says softly.

I hold her.

"Apparently I was her granddaughter,"Emma says softly.

"That makes you a noble now," I say with a little shock.

"Yes it does," Emma says with a smile looking up at me.

The funeral ends a couple of hours later and I stay with Emma.
