"Hazel!" I heard my mom yell to me in my sleepy stupor, "Me and dad are going out! Get up and watch your sister!"

I groaned, turning over to look at the clock. 8 am on a saturday. Are. You. Kidding.

"Why do they have to go out so early..." I asked myself, dragging my tired ass out of bed while carrying my blanket and pillow with me, bringing it upstairs into the living room from my room downstairs and throwing my body on the couch.

"Morning sweetie," my mom smiled and kissed my head, "Me and dad will be out for a bit, okay? We are going to meet with his boss so we can talk some stuff over."

"What do you mean, Mom? Is something wrong?" I was starting to get worried for my dad, because he had a bad past with jobs, getting laid off and such.

"Oh everything is fine honey, its just a meeting. Love you!" She yelled while closing the door behind her and getting in the car with my dad.

"Whatever..." I mumbled as I fell back asleep.

Hours later I was shaken awake, I opened my eyes to see both my parents standing above me, grinning like mad men.

"We've got good news!" My dad exclaimed.

My parents looked at eachother for a second before looking back at me and yelling, "WE'RE MOVING TO AUSTRALIA!"

"I...what?" I asked, "Why? We can't afford that!"

"Me and your dad got jobs at the branch in Sydney for his work! Really good pay, and they are providing us with a house!" Mom said excitedly, jumping up and down slightly, "We're moving in two weeks!"

"T-two weeks? Wow...That's great guys! I'm really happy," I smiled fakely at them, "Have you told Emily yet?"

"I'M ALREADY PACKING!" I heard my 9 year old sister yell from upstairs.

"I should go do that too." I said and picked up my stuff, walking into my room only to find a stack of empty boxes waiting for me.

I shut my door and put my back to it, sliding down until I was sitting on the ground with my head in my hands. I don't want to move from Canada to Australia! I don't want to leave my friends! We were all supposed to graduate together and me and my best friend Kayleigh were supposed to go to university together and live in the same dorm and...well I guess it doesn't really matter now, does it? At least my family is happy, and we will be better financially. I got up and got dressed in some track pants and a thermo shirt, throwing my light brown hair up in a messy bun and putting on some black eyeliner.

"I guess should start packing." I thought to myself.

I grabbed my laptop and put it on my desk, booting it up and turning on Skype before texting Kayleigh.

TO: Kay xx

Skype date? We need to talk :$

FROM: Kay xx

Uh oh, thats never good. Be right there x

I heard the ringing of a Skype call and pressed answer, bursting into tears as soon as I saw Kayleigh's face.

"What's wrong, Hay?" Kayleigh asked, concern clouding her blue eyes.

"I'm moving to Australia, Kay. Two weeks." I sobbed while wiping my eyes.

"Be right over." She said then hung up, leaving me to listen to music, pack, and of course cry.

As I was putting the last of my books into a box, my door burst open and Kayleigh ran in and hugged me tight. I wrapped my arms around her tightly and put my head in the crook of her neck, crying instantly. We didn't say anything for a while, just stood there, crying, before she let go and wordlessly started to help me pack.

Two and a half hours later, everything was packed, and we were lying on my bare bed, listening to All Time Low.

"I don't want to go..." I whispered.

"I know, Hay." She whispered back, "But you have to. Maybe you'll meet a guy there, eh? Tanned, hot accent, gorgeous. Much better than the guys here."

I sighed, "True. I just dont want to leave you! We were supposed to do so many things..."

"And we still can! Who knows, maybe one day I'll come to Australia and we can go to UofS together, yeah? And you've always wanted to live there!"

"I guess," I smiled lightly, "But you can bet we are hanging out every day for the next couple weeks and will be communicating non-stop when I'm in Aussie."

" Of course!" She said and hugged me,"Plus, I know where I'm going next summer."

For the next two weeks, me and Kayleigh hung out with the rest of our friends, having sleepovers every night. It was too soon that me and my family were getting off the plane into Australia for the first time. This is going to be a wild ride.

A/N This is my first fanfic, and feedback would be amazing, so feel free! None of the boys will be in the first couple chapters, I need to set the story :)
