The next day at school everyone either stared at me or whispered to their friends about me as I walked into school. Mariza was by my side. We had become very close, actually all of us had. Jackie, Mariza, Court, Spence and I have become best friends. Suddenly Mariza whispers into my ear, "Shawn is down the hall do you want to ignore him or what?"
"Let's just go he's probably not going to pay any attention to me since he's with his friends." I reply.
We walk past Shawn and as I expected he didn't even notice me, I knew he wasn't going to change. Then I feel someone yank me and I turn around.
"Hey princess" says Shawn.
"We're not dating yet don't call me that" I snap. "Sorry I didn't mean to snap at you." I say apologetically.
"Don't worry cutie, hey do you want to hang out later?" He asks.
"Depends on what we're going to do." I say teasing him.
"Well I was thinking we could go on a date." He smirks.
"No thanks I'm a really busy gal." I playfully tease.
"Oh really how about you say yes and I'll surprise you?" He says
"Fine pick me up at seven" I say.
"Alright it's a date." He says as he "robs" a kiss from me and goes back to his locker.
I walk back to Mariza and she asks me "Do you think one of his friends is single?"
"Oh shut up Mariza, we have to get to homeroom." I tell her.
"On the way tell me all the deets girl. How was that kiss. Are you going out with him?" She asks
"I actually really liked that stolen kiss." I say in a dreamily tone. "And we're going on a date tonight, it's a surprise." I tell her.
"Oh girl yes get it." She jokes
"Ah shut up will ya." I say in an annoying tone. "But honestly I'm freaking out, you have got to help me." I plead. "Nah this is more Jackie's corner. She's got a boyfriend." She says. "You're right I'll ask her." I say as we walk into homeroom and the bell rings.
