She started curling her beautiful blond hair. She was so excited. She put on eyeliner and eye shadow (something that doesn't happen often) to bring out those "pretty eyes." She put on just enough makeup. It was going to be an important night for her so she decided to get all dolled up. Her dress came down to a little bit above her knees and was puffy at the bottom, but tight on the waist. The color was white, with a red bow tied around her. She wore those high heels that her daddy didn't approve of, but she didn't care. They were red. Her last detail she almost forgot was here lipstick, and just like her shoes and her bow, it was her favorite color. Red. Before she left, she took a quick look in the mirror. The biggest most brightest smile ran across her face... She thought to herself, "It's funny how different I look like when I simply just put on a mask."

Everyone stared her down in awe as she walked down the street to the fancy restaurant. See it was a small town, and everyone knew her as the freaky one. The black sheep. The outcast of the town; when they saw her tonight, they were absolutely shocked. She couldn't care any less. She is in love, and tonight, the one that she is in love with, is going to purpose. She is sure of it. She walks in the restaurant and is politely escorted to her reserved table. Everyone in the restaurant goes silent as soon as she walks in. She's unsteady. Something is wrong.

When she gets to her table, her soon to be fiancé wasn't there. She asks the waiter if a man had recently been there before her. He says yes as he hands her a small music box. She takes it and sits down at the empty table. The item is familiar to her. It was the box she had seen in an antique store, she immediately fell in love with the box as soon as she opened it, when the most beautiful music started playing from it, but it was far too expensive. Slowly she opened the box with caution. Inside was a gorgeous diamond ring attached to a note. She lit up in excitement. It shined so bright... Then she went for the note. She unfolded it and started reading:

"Emilia, I cherish you. You are everything to me, and I want you to know that even though I'm not here anymore... I will never for one second stop loving you. I want you to have this ring, in memory of me, and never forget what we will forever have. The last thing I would want to do is leave you alone, but I have no other choice. I Love You Emilia. Goodbye."

As soon as she was done... one tear ran down her cheek. It was soaked black from her makeup. She was completely still for a moment as her heart shattered inside her chest. Then she looked up and saw the boy's mother. She instantly knew that his mother, along with the rest of the town, had already been informed about the tragedy. They hugged each other in grief. Both instantly started crying. Then she went home, wearing the ring, it fit perfectly on her finger.

She attended the funeral the next day, dressed in all black. Seeing her boyfriend in his casket, tore her up inside. She went up to him, and placed the music box beside him, she made sure it was open so the music would play. After that, no one looked at her the same.

She visited his grave every day at lunch. Every night on July 23rd, she'd dress up in the same type of outfit, curled her hair, put on just enough makeup, and went to the exact same restaurant. Why? Because what she had with him was true love, and when you have true love with someone, there is nothing in the world that could stop you from loving them, even after they have past.

She is an old lady now... she got put in a nursing home. She became really depressed once she could not visit his grave anymore, or go to the restaurant, so she made her nurse, that was practically her daughter, bring her to the grave one last time. When it was time for her to go, she whispered to the tombstone, "I won't be away from you much longer my love, I'll see you real soon. I promise."

The next day her nurse found her in her bed. She had left a note, attached to her engagement ring. It read:

"I was ready to go, and I felt it wasn't much longer... Keep this ring, and remember me. I'm in a better place now, and I can finally be with him. I love you. ~Emilia"

True Love has no bounds, no matter what. If you have it, never, ever let go of it. Because it's the best thing a person could have, and you're lucky to have it.
