Chapter 67: Eloping Couple

Ensei and Suou have just finished investigating in the town when they saw a carriage and a cart. They saw two people having tea under a tree and immediately recognized them.

Only one thought crossed their minds as they watched the two with the filled cart behind them. Eloping couples. They wondered why these people needed to elope. They watched as the two held hands and looked at each other's eyes with smiles on their faces.

''Next comes a kiss,'' Suou commented before Ensei could stop him and the two could have probably kissed if not for the fact that they heard Suou's voice and was interrupted.

Seiran and Jyuusan turned their heads at the same time and quickly let go of each other's hand when they saw Ensei and Suou standing near their cargo. ''What are you doing here?!'' Seiran asked harshly.

''We we're just about to pass when we saw suspicious people with suspicious cargo,'' Ensei joked. He saw the food and sat down beside Seiran without being invited. ''Sorry for intruding in your date but I am about to faint of hunger, can I have some too princess?'' he said to Jyuusan.

''No. Get lost,'' Seiran shooed his friend away.

''Don't listen to him. Please help yourself with some tea and sweets Ensei-kun,'' Jyuusan invited. ''You too Tantan-kun,'' she added and Suou sat beside her. He would not dare sit beside Seiran who always hit him.

''Uhm, thanks. Jyuusan-hime, why are the two of you eloping?'' Suou directly asked.

''Right, why would the two of you need to elope?'' Ensei added. The vein in Seiran's temple started to throb and removed the arm that Ensei draped on his shoulder.

Jyuusan realized that the two are referring to their cargo. It was due to the supplies that they are saying that. ''Oh gentlemen with kind hearts, you must understand the hardship we'd been through. Can a damsel in distress ask the two of you a favor?'' she said with hopeful eyes.

''Sure, I'll help out if it's something within my grasp,'' Ensei quickly agreed.

Suou was suspicious. ''Don't tell me that bamboo shooting retainer forced you to elope with him,'' he said with pity. ''But even if I would like to help, that person is beyond me,'' he pointed at Seiran.

''Should I break that finger?'' Seiran said with an evil glare and Suou hid behind Jyuusan for protection. ''We're not eloping you dimwit. And I did not force anyone to come with me.''

''Really? Then why are the two of you about to kiss a while ago?'' Suou continued.

''Right. That was a golden opportunity to see Seiran smooching someone,'' Ensei teased. ''If you hadn't spoken we could have seen them kiss.'' Ensei dodge a hit.

''Then I have a suggestion,'' Suou said and crept to Ensei and whispered something to him.

''What brilliant idea,'' Ensei patted Suou's back. ''Sorry princess but we'll only help out for one condition,'' Ensei said to Jyuusan. Seiran had a bad feeling about it.

''Eh? What is it then?'' she asked, though she already knew what it is.

''The two of you should finish what you are about to do a while ago. But this time, kiss in front of us,'' Ensei said.

''Get lost. We're not doing anything like that.'' Seiran stood up and hit Ensei and Suou quickly hid behind Jyuusan's back.

''Are you serious?'' Jyuusan said. ''Are you saying you would only help if we did that?''
